Progressive white women report high levels of mental illness in 2020 Pew survey

I have the most amazing video for you to see. It’s a crazy left-wing activist doxing a libertarian lesbian woman wearing a breathe-through mask. First, let’s take a look at the video. Then, we’ll look at a recent survey reported by Pew Research in 2020, which assesses how mentally stable far-left feminist women are (self-reported). Then, I’ll make some comments for unmarried men.

OK, so here is the video, which was shared by the woman who was doxed. So it’s OK for me to share it, since the doxed woman didn’t care about it.

So, is this crazy woman rare? Or is she common?

Progressive white women and mental illness

Feminist web site Evie Magazine reported on the some 2020 findings by Pew Research (left-wing pollster):

A 2020 Pew Research study reveals that over half of white, liberal women have been diagnosed with a mental health condition at some point.

[T]he study, which is titled Pew American Trends Panel: Wave 64, was dated March 2020 — over a year ago.

The study, which examined white liberals, moderates, and conservatives, both male and female, found that conservatives were far less likely to be diagnosed with mental health issues than those who identified as either liberal or even “very liberal.”

[…]White women, ages 18-29, who identified as liberal were given a mental health diagnosis from medical professionals at a rate of 56.3%, as compared to 28.4% in moderates and 27.3% in conservatives.

Here’s the part of the data I thought was most interesting:

White Liberal Women

Who would marry a crazy person?

So, the point about this that I want to make is… who is going to marry these mentally ill progressive white women? Being a good wife and mother takes a certain amount of connection to reality. It takes a certain amount of empathy, compassion, and rationality. These progressive white women don’t have any of that. So, who is going to marry them? I know that there are thirsty progressive men (and thirsty conservative men who fake being progressive), who will go ahead and hit it and quit it. Pump it and dump it. But how many men would commit to someone who’s mentally ill?

And in fact, that’s exactly what we’re seeing with the marriage rates:

Marriage rates in the United States over time

That’s for America, but things are even worse in countries that have slid further toward the secular left edge of the political spectrum.

When you look at marriage rates in Canada and Europe, you understand that men are even LESS likely to choose marriage when they have to pay over 50% of what they earn in taxes. And so the marriage rate is declining. I think young, unmarried women in Canada and Europe are want to raise taxes in order to get free stuff from government. Single mother welfare, food stamps, abortions, contraceptives, IVF, breast enlargements, etc. Some feminists are even asking for free cosmetic surgery. With a big enough government, they don’t have to marry at all. Big government leaves them free to play the field, without having to care about finding a good man. But what if taxes get so high that the few good men those women passed over for 40 years simply can’t afford to take on a wife and support multiple children he didn’t father? Paying for things like a stay-at-home wife and homeschooling, etc. is expensive. Men can’t afford a wife, and also pay for goodies for all the single progressive women with mental illnesses.

Conservative men want nothing to do with daycare and public schools – we know that those facilities are dominated by progressive women. And we don’t want trouble from feminist lawyers and feminist judges in the divorce courts. Divorce is very expensive for men. And we may never see our children again. Then there are the progressive white women in the workplace, who get very bitter with men as a result of getting wrecked by bad boys. Even if we find a good wife, we still have to deal with all these progressive white women with mental illnesses in positions of power. Is it worth it to take risks like this? It depends on the reward, I guess. I can do a lot There comes a point where the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

Man receives death threats and loses his job for calling vulgar teen thug an idiot

In this case, a CEO of a Nashville, TN company named Visue11 was fired from his job after he was caught on video saying that a gay man who was screaming obscentities at him and following him around filiming him was “acting like an idiot”. That was a great crime against compassion, diversity, inclusion and tolerance, so he had to be fired. After we see the story, I have some comments about this.

Amanda Prestigiacomo reports at Daily Wire:

Nashville resident S4m John50n was fired from his position as CEO of healthcare company Visue11 on Monday, his family was doxxed online, and he has received a deluge of threats. But that “enormous volume of hate,” John50n told The Daily Wire, is based on a false, media-inflamed narrative stemming from an out-of-context viral video.

The onslaught was sparked by a video of John50n that recently went viral online, appearing to show him engaging in alleged “homophobia,” though, notably, not once in the video does John50n utter any homophobic slur or use any profanity.

The mainstream narrative, based on a 59-second video clip, contends that John50n targeted, harassed, bullied, and spewed homophobia to an 18-year-old male for wearing a dress to his prom.

Here’s what the video seems to show:

The video, taken at a hotel before prom, opens with the teen, Dalton 5teven5, telling John50n, “I chose what I wanna wear so you can f*** off.” John50n, hands in his pockets, quietly responds, “Is that right?” John50n is then followed and asked leading questions by 5teven5’ boyfriend, Jacob Ge1tm4nn, the teen filming John50n. “You think he looks gross? Looks disgustin’?” he asks. “You look like …,” John50n starts to say. In response, 5teven5 screams at him, “I look like what, you f***ing b****?” “You look like an idiot,” John50n calmly says in reaction to the cursing. “Get the f*** away from me!” 5teven5 screams. “Keep talking. You look like a moron,” Ge1tm4nn tells John50n. “I’m sorry, I’m gorgeous,” 5teven5 says. “Are you?” John50n responds. John50n then appears to try to block Ge1tm4nn from filming him. “No, sir, I can f***ing record you all I want,” says Ge1tm4nn.

All this vulgar language and threatening behavior was being done in front of the man’s family, in a restaurant where he was a paying customer.

John50n contends that the video is missing context:

John50n spoke to The Daily Wire on Tuesday and refuted the mainstream narrative by adding context to the video.

“They had been at the hotel/restaurant for an hour, causing a scene and being loud and obnoxious,” John50n said. “I was perturbed that the management wasn’t doing anything to protect the rest of us who were paying customers with our kids present. These teens were only there to take pictures and cause a public scene.”

“There are many lies in the mainstream articles and interviews including the allegations of homophobic name-calling and ‘following’ him,” John50n said, referring to 5teven5.

So the first thing is that I think you definitely want to consider how the two thugs were acting, and also read the tweets calling for the firing of the CEO. It’s disturbing that people on the secular left think that behavior is OK – death threats and firing.

Men are watching, men are learning

So, I’m thinking about this story from the perspective of a Christian man, trying to make a difference in the world. I know that any advocacy for the moral teachings of Christianity will be met with reactions like that. Not just from the far-left thugs, but from their allies within woke Christianity.

I know church-attending Christians who claim to be conservative politically who voted for Biden. They know nothing about court cases where Christians are attacked by LGBT activists for refusing to celebrate non-Biblical views of marriage. They know nothing about specific Democrat policies that attack free speech, freedom of association or freedom of religion. They consider it “loving” to affirm far-left thugs in their fascism. Their actions declare that they have accepted the new morality of the secular left above Biblical morality. And their peers accept them as Christians. So, you won’t get any help from them, and you shouldn’t confide in them. Standing up for Biblical views of moral issues has become very lonely.

And what about the death threats made by the secular left mob? What about the news stories that include demonstrably false allegations against this man? What about the calling for his termination by woke corporations? I’m thinking about this, and thinking how happy I have to be single and have a million dollar net worth. I’m glad there is no woke wife in my house. I’m glad I don’t have to face woke people in a church, or in schools, nor even in the workplace once I retire. I simply do not want my liberty to express myself and practice my religion infringed by left-wing psychopaths.

I wish people would stop asking me why I’m not married. I can’t tell them the truth, because the truth would offend them. The truth is that their “tolerance” and “compassion” for fascists who are deeply and unrepentantly involved in sinful behaviors has made the world unsafe for good men. I’m a man. I’m not taking on obligations to a wife, family, church, etc. in a world where my free speech can be punished with death threats and job loss. If Christian women and pastors want men to engage, they’d better start fighting back against the secular left, instead of virtue signaling to them.

Wind, solar or nuclear: which is best for costs, electricity prices and the environment?

I bought a new book by a famous environmentalist Dr. Michael Shellenberger. He used to be a huge advocate for renewable energy (wind and solar). The book is about why he changed his mind and now prefers nuclear power. He has a long pedigree of environmental activism. I agree with him, so I wanted to get the book to learn how to argue it. For you, I have a short video instead of the book.

Here’s a 17-minute TED talk that he did:

And an article from Quillette that has the full text of the talk.

Here’s the part I thought was the most interesting, where he explains the problems with solar and wind:

The first was around land use. Electricity from solar roofs costs about twice as much as electricity from solar farms, but solar and wind farms require huge amounts of land. That, along with the fact that solar and wind farms require long new transmissions lines, and are opposed by local communities and conservationists trying to preserve wildlife, particularly birds.

Another challenge was the intermittent nature of solar and wind energies. When the sun stops shining and the wind stops blowing, you have to quickly be able to ramp up another source of energy.

I was having a discussion with one of the software architects at my company, who LOVES wind power. I raised these objections with him, especially about the birds and the subsidies for wind and solar, and the higher electricity prices. His response was that he was confident that investing in the renewables would produce technological solutions to those problems.

Look what Schellenberger says, though:

What kills big, threatened, and endangered birds—birds that could go extinct—like hawks, eagles, owls, and condors, are wind turbines.

In fact, wind turbines are the most serious new threat to important bird species to emerge in decades.

[…]Solar farms have similarly large ecological impacts. Building a solar farm is a lot like building any other kind of farm. You have to clear the whole area of wildlife.

In order to build one of the biggest solar farms in California the developers hired biologists to pull threatened desert tortoises from their burrows, put them on the back of pickup trucks, transport them, and cage them in pens where many ended up dying.

[…][S]cientists recently warned that wind turbines are on the verge of making one species, the Hoary bat, a migratory bat species, go extinct.

More environmental impact:

You can make solar panels cheaper and wind turbines bigger, but you can’t make the sun shine more regularly or the wind blow more reliably. I came to understand the environmental implications of the physics of energy. In order to produce significant amounts of electricity from weak energy flows, you just have to spread them over enormous areas. In other words, the trouble with renewables isn’t fundamentally technical—it’s natural.

Higher costs:

Dealing with energy sources that are inherently unreliable, and require large amounts of land, comes at a high economic cost.

There’s been a lot of publicity about how solar panels and wind turbines have come down in cost. But those one-time cost savings from making them in big Chinese factories have been outweighed by the high cost of dealing with their unreliability.

There was a news article from the radically leftist UK Guardian recently that found that 40% of UK solar panels were manufactured by firms linked to Chinese slave labor.

Consumer electricity prices rise, disproportionately affecting the poor:

Consider California. Between 2011–17 the cost of solar panels declined about 75 percent, and yet our electricity prices rose five times more than they did in the rest of the U.S. It’s the same story in Germany, the world leader in solar and wind energy. Its electricity prices increased 50 percent between 2006–17, as it scaled up renewables.

The same thing happened in Canada, when they switched to renewables. According to a recent study, the province of Ontario saw a “21% increase in the overall average cost of power in the province over the period 2007-2013”.

Schellenberger likes nuclear energy:

Germany’s carbon emissions have been flat since 2009, despite an investment of $580 billion by 2025 in a renewables-heavy electrical grid, a 50 percent rise in electricity cost.

Meanwhile, France produces one-tenth the carbon emissions per unit of electricity as Germany and pays little more than half for its electricity. How? Through nuclear power.

Then, under pressure from Germany, France spent $33 billion on renewables, over the last decade. What was the result? A rise in the carbon intensity of its electricity supply, and higher electricity prices, too.

What about all the headlines about expensive nuclear and cheap solar and wind? They are largely an illusion resulting from the fact that 70 to 80 percent of the costs of building nuclear plants are up-front, whereas the costs given for solar and wind don’t include the high cost of transmission lines, new dams, or other forms of battery.

He talks a lot about whether nuclear power is safe, and what to do with the waste. I found it compelling. My architect friend didn’t ask me about that, but he did mention the cost of nuclear.

Here’s what I should have said (but didn’t):

All of the waste fuel from 45 years of the Swiss nuclear program can fit, in canisters, on a basketball court-like warehouse, where like all spent nuclear fuel, it has never hurt a fly.

By contrast, solar panels require 17 times more materials in the form of cement, glass, concrete, and steel than do nuclear plants, and create over 200 times more waste.

We tend to think of solar panels as clean, but the truth is that there is no plan anywhere to deal with solar panels at the end of their 20 to 25 year lifespan.

I did send him the lecture and the article after, though.

If you think this is an interesting topic, why not share the TED talk and the article with your friends? Some people vote Democrat just for renewable energy. I don’t like Democrat policies, so I have to be equipped to know how to respond to anything that anyone might like about them. Christian conservatives like me who care about things like abortion, marriage, religious liberty, etc. have to become experts at education policy, health care policy, energy policy, foreign policy, etc. I have to be able to debate anyone about any policy.
