School principal attacks father who asked to see teacher performance evaluations

There are so many areas where conservatives could win over independents in future elections. We could fix healthcare with government-funded private health savings accounts. We could fix Russian aggression by developing our own natural gas and nuclear power. And we could fix public schools by creating government-funded individual education savings accounts for parents.

Here’s the latest reason why public schools are failing parents and children, reported by the New York Post:

[Brian] Davison is a ginger-haired 48-year-old who earned two degrees from MIT, then spent much of his career as a Navy officer. By profession, he is a nerd who specializes in “operations research,” finding ways to make organizations function more efficiently. After he had two kids, he figured he could volunteer his number-crunching skills to help their schools.

He’s not a monster. To teachers, he’s something more threatening: a mathematician.

What did Davison do that was so terrible? He wanted to track which schools were producing higher performance for each individual child:

[School performance] could be measured with the same test data that the schools already had: You just needed to look at growth trajectory instead of plain scores. Compare each child’s state exam score from last year to his score from this year. Had he moved ahead especially quickly, merely kept pace, or started to fall behind?

The schools actually have the data he wanted, but only the teachers were allowed to see it – not parents of the students:

Using this “student growth percentile” (SGP) statistic to illuminate the performance of schools and teachers made so much sense that it was unsurprising when in 2009, the Obama administration began requiring it of school districts as a condition for receiving their share of nearly $54 billion in stimulus funding, the best-known component of which was called Race to the Top.

In the ensuing years, Virginia repeatedly received the money after submitting applications attesting that “prior to submitting this request, [schools] provided [to teachers] student growth data.”

So, he asked the schools for the performance data for each child, in order to calculate which schools were helping children improve, year over year. But they would not give him the data. Instead, they tried to call the police.

Loudoun County Public Schools told him it did not have them. In fact, no one in the school system had ever looked at them.

He requested the data from other school districts in the state, which told him essentially the same thing. Educators were so opposed to looking at these numbers that they were willing to systematically lie, apparently ignore the law, and jeopardize vast sums of federal funding. They were doing it for the same reason the information was so important: It revealed which teachers were good and which were not.

[…] In October 2014, Davison sued the Virginia Department of Education to force it to release the growth data, offsetting costs by giving himself a crash course in law and doing some of his own legal work. And he became, as one school board member called him, “Enemy #1.”

And how do teachers treat their enemies? Why, by labeling them “domestic terrorists”, and calling the police and FBI on them. Because if you disagree with a teacher, then they feel bad. And if they feel bad, then you need to be arrested and put in jail.

Here’s school board member Debra Rose:

After Davison raised questions at a school board meeting, board member Debra Rose, a former congressional staffer for the House Judiciary Committee, requested that a sheriff’s deputy remove him. The officer did not.

In March 2015, Rose’s husband summoned police to their home, where “Ms. Rose advised that Mr. Davison has not made any specific threats directed towards her, but he has made her feel extremely uncomfortable.” The police took no action.

In May, her husband called police again to tell them that Davison “is posting links on [an internet] forum to [Ms. Rose’s] campaign website which displays herself and her family members including her children.” The officer responded, according to his police report, that “this may not be a crime because this certain post is a link to his wife’s campaign website.”

Rose called Davison’s elderly father to try to shame him. She emailed his employer five times.

He’s a “domestic terrorist” you know. Anyone who makes teachers feel bad is a domestic terrorist.

Those teachers are all unionized. Do you think that makes them more or less likely to care about their students? Well, what kind of person is content to go through life as a member of a union? People join unions so that the union will stick up for them when they perform poorly. People who want to escape accountability for poor performance join unions. That’s why cars produced by unionized labor are inferior to cars produced by non-unionized labor. People who might be fired have to perform. People who serve customers in a free, competitive market have to earn the trust of their consumers.

Here’s Debbie Rose:

I post this, so that people will know that just because a woman looks pretty and smiles, it doesn’t mean that she is a good person. It doesn’t mean she cares about children. It doesn’t mean that she is self-controlled or rational. It doesn’t mean she is mentally fit.

Principal Tracy Stephens

If you think that what Debra Rose did was bad, then look at what the school’s principal, Tracy Stephens, did:

After Davison tried to raise testing issues at a PTA meeting in September 2015, the school’s principal, Tracy Stephens, issued a notice that she said made it a crime for him to come to the school for any reason.

School officials were used to parents advocating to get preferential treatment for their own children, but they were not used to anyone asking bigger questions.

“Many of your comments were wholly unrelated to your children. This is frightening to our staff,” Stephens wrote.

The day the no-trespassing order was posted to Davison’s front door, Stephens called the police on him while he waited off school property to pick up his kids. She refused to allow his children to join him. The police told the principal that Davison was entitled to pick up his children, but, according to the police report, Stephens demanded, “I want him arrested!”

When that did not work, she reported Davison to Child Protective Services as a suspected child abuser.

It was not children she was concerned about. The complaint said Davison “exhibits agression [sic] and hostility toward LCPS leadership during public meetings.”

Stephens faxed 62 pages of information to the agency, which has the power to take children away from their parents. They consisted almost entirely of Davison’s comments on school policies or officials’ apparent violations of them. Tacked on the end were two claims that purportedly showed child abuse: One day, his daughter could not play kickball because she was “sent to school in rain boots.” Another day, a teacher said she saw Davison’s children with him and “both of the kids had straight faces.”

And here’s Tracy Stephens:

So what do we learn from all of this? Well, we learn that teacher unions, school boards and principals would rather resort to  persecution of their customers (parents), than be held accountable for their performance. The purpose of teacher unions is to prevent bad teachers from being held accountable. The Democrat party protects these teacher unions. Maybe it’s time the Republican party looked out for the parents instead?

Why did Putin wait for Joe Biden to take office before attacking Ukraine?

I found an amazing article posted at The Federalist that compares and contrasts the foreign policy achievements of Donald Trump vs Joe Biden.

It says:

Russia invaded Georgia in 2008 when George W. Bush was president. Russia took Crimea in 2014 when Barack Obama was president. Russia has now invaded Ukraine with Joe Biden as president. However, when Donald Trump was president, Russia did not seize territory from any of its neighbors.

During his four years in office, Trump not only successfully deterred Russia from acting against Ukraine, he effectively deterred a lot of bad behavior across the planet. He focused on ending America’s foreign wars rather than launching new ones. At the same time, he brokered the Abraham Accords to expand peace in the Middle East.

Here is the list of reasons why Putin would not attack Ukraine when Trump was president:

  1. Rebuilt the American Military
  2. Crusaded for American Energy Dominance
  3. Set the Tone by Launching Surgical Missile Strikes in Syria in Early 2017
  4. Developed Strong Relationships with Middle Eastern Nations Based on Mutual Interests
  5. Was Ruthless with the Taliban While Winding Down the Afghanistan War
  6. Crushed the ISIS Caliphate
  7. Demonstrated a Consistent Willingness to Take out the Bad Guys
  8. Stood Up to China
  9. Strategically Used Unpredictability as an Asset in Foreign Affairs
  10. Advanced Tough Russia Policies and Provided Lethal Aid to Ukraine while Maintaining an Open Dialogue

You might remember that in contrast to Trump, Hunter Biden’s father decided to withdraw from Afghanistan so stupidly, that 13 Americans lost their lives. And we handed the Taliban BILLIONS of dollars of American military equipment. Consider what message it sent to our reputation with our allies – they would naturally think that we were stupid and unreliable.

One of the things I liked best about Trump was his order to annihilate the head of Iran’s Special Forces. While Obama was weak with Iran, handing over pallets of cash and standing aside while they worked on nuclear weapons, Tump was tough on them.

The Washington Examiner explains:

Qassem Soleimani, the Iranian military general who was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Iraq on Thursday, was responsible for the deaths of over 600 U.S. soldiers in Iraq.

“General Soleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more,” the Pentagon said. “He had orchestrated attacks on coalition bases in Iraq over the last several months — including the attack on December 27th — culminating in the death and wounding of additional American and Iraqi personnel. General Soleimani also approved the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that took place this week.”

Do you remember that? This was a response to an attack on the US Embassy in Baghdad that Soleimani ordered. Soleimani was the aggressor in the Iraq embassy attack, and he has a record of attacking American armed forces.

Energy Independence

The other way to prevent a war with Russia is to be energy independent. But right now, Biden is buying oil and gas from Russia.

The article notes the difference between Trump and Biden:

Trump deployed such aggressive sanctions against Russia that President Obama’s Secretary of Defense Robert Gates called them the toughest in history, and he withdrew from one-sided treaties that hamstrung the U.S. while Russia violated the terms.

Biden has taken the opposite approach, appeasing Putin by handing him his top two geopolitical priorities on a silver platter. He unconditionally extended the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, allowing Russia to continue building tactical nuclear weapons while constraining our ability to modernize. And while Trump imposed sanctions to stop Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline in its tracks, construction was allowed to resume when Biden took office.

President Trump understood the power of building American energy dominance. By slashing onerous regulations, Trump sparked an American energy boom that ensured we would never be reliant on any other nation to meet our energy needs. Geopolitically, America’s increased export capacity reduced Putin’s leverage over our European allies, who depend on Russia for 40 percent of their gas and more than a quarter of their oil.

Trump approved the Keystone XL oil pipeline at home and shut down Russia’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in Eastern Europe. Biden reversed both decisions, meaning he has been harder on America’s energy producers than he has been on Russia’s. To add insult to injury, as the Russian army pushed into Ukraine, Biden’s climate envoy John Kerry hoped aloud that “President Putin will help us to stay on track with respect to what we need to do for the climate.”

I see a lot of secular leftists on social media sporting Ukrainian flags now that Russia has invaded. But, if they were opposed to Trump in 2020, then they put in place the foreign policy that emboldened Russia to invade Ukraine. You can’t have it both ways. If you vote for a weakling, then you get aggression.

Far-left students shout down father who lost his child to transgenderism

This seems to be happening a lot lately. I just wrote about a father in California who was stripped of child custody and parental rights by his ex-wife. Prior to that, a Canadian father was arrested and imprisoned for gendering his child according to her birth sex. And now in Texas, a father who lost custody of his child, after the child came out transgender gets heckled when he tells his story.

Here’s the background from Life Site News, posted in December 2018:

A six-year-old Texas boy is being dressed and presented as a girl by his mother; at the same time, she is threatening the boy’s father legally for not going along with her plan for their son to live as a girl.

Jam3s lives as a girl when with his mother, but when with his father and given the choice, the six-year-old boy lives as a boy.

Court order:

J3ffr3y Young3r is currently prohibited by court order from affirming in any way his son’s sex, including imparting Christian teaching on gender and sexuality to Jam3s.

Child abuse charges against the father for disapproving:

4nn3 Georgu1as has charged Young3r, her ex-husband and Jam3s’s father, with child abuse for not affirming their son as a transgender “girl,” according to court documents.

Restraining order blocking father’s contact with the boys:

She has also sought restraining orders against Young3r, she is trying to terminate his parental rights, and also seeks to compel Young3r to pay for Jam3s’s visits with a transgender-affirming therapist and for medical procedures to “transition” Jam3s to a girl.

Chemical castration and sex-reassignment surgery:

The controversial “treatment” could include hormonal sterilization that could begin in as soon as two years when Jam3s turns eight, in preparation for Jam3s to later have “sexual reassignment” surgery.

Father loses all parental rights:

The court has awarded her the sole right to consent to psychiatric and psychological treatment of Jam3s and his twin brother Jude, rendering the boys’ father unable to get a second opinion.

Child Protective Services:

Young3r is even prohibited from cutting his sons’ hair, having been reported by a teacher to Texas Child Protective Services for giving Jam3s a haircut.

Like the California case, the father gets the bill:

Since the cost for psychological and psychiatric treatment of children is considered child support in Texas, a website on the case created by friends of the family says, and current Texas statutes being what they are, Young3r could be “forced to pay for the sexual mutilation of his own son.”

That’s just slavery, by the way. And men don’t like to be enslaved.

And here is the latest from Life Site News about the outcome of the trial:

A jury has ruled against J3ffr3y Young3r, the father who is trying to protect his seven-year-old son, Jam3s, from chemical castration via a gender “transition.”

[…]The jury’s decision likely means that Mr. Young3r will be required to “affirm” Jam3s as a girl, despite his religious and moral objections, and will also be forced to take a class on transgenderism.

Although it was a jury trial, I just want to point out that the judge overseeing the trial is a woman, and Georgu1as has two female lawyers leading the questioning of witnesses.  The therapist who diagnosed the boy with gender dysphoria is also a (gay) woman, and founder of Da11as Ra1nbow Couns31ing. So a panel of women is overruling the wishes of the child’s father for his son, and this apparently isn’t a problem for anyone.

The American Conservative noted that Georgu1as is not the biological mother of the boys. They were conceived with Young3r’s sperm and eggs from an egg donor. This is an immediate red flag to me, as women who use IVF are often feminists who deliberately delayed child-bearing during their fertile years for their careers.

The latest news

So, the latest news is that the father is now running for office as a Republican in Dallas, trying to get these laws changed. But young people, who are increasingly growing up without their biological mothers or biological fathers, did not receive him kindly.

The Post Millennial reports:

A University of North Texas classroom in Denton erupted into chants of “f*ck these fascists” and slammed their fists on the desks as Jeff Younger tried to speak on Wednesday. Younger was not thrown off, telling them to be “louder!”

Younger, who is running for a seat in the Texas House, lost custody of his 9-year-old twins because he opposed the medical transition of one of them. His ex-wife began pushing for gender transition when the child was 3-years-old.

Younger came to speak to the school, hosted by the Young Conservatives of Texas, noting that he has “attracted national attention defending his young son against being forcibly transitioned by his ex-wife.” Younger opposes the medical gender transition of children.

Notice how just like the story about the California father and the British Columbia father, there is an ex-wife involved. Women who initiate divorce can use false accusations or transgendering of children in order to eject the male from the lives of the children.

More:

Younger tried to speak to the room, but was repeatedly shouted down before he was escorted out. He was joined by Kelly Neidert, a student who is part of the conservative students’ group. She had invited Younger to speak. He encountered a mob of far-leftist activists waiting for him outside, and was ushered by security to a waiting car.

Conservative students were reportedly chased from the building. Far-leftist activists and students harassed members of the Young Conservatives of Texas as they left the building where Younger had attempted to give a talk.

The police had to hide one of the conservative students in a janitor closet, in order to get her away from the angry mob.

My thoughts

I have two thoughts about this.

First, I don’t see how the upcoming generation will be able to form stable relationships. They are just too invested in fringe issues, too selfish and too unstable, to be able to take on self-sacrificial commitments to a spouse and children.

I thought this was interesting: (archived here)

Throwaway for privacy.

I’ve been an out and proud lesbian since I was 16. I’ve had some wonderful experiences and relationships with women but now I’m 29, I’m officially throwing in the towel. I am actively going to stop searching for dates on dating apps and in general.

I’m so tired of all of it. I get that this happens in straight relationships too.

But I’m so tired of being ghosted when things are seemingly going well. I’m so tired of being used. I’m so tired of having someone else’s insecurities projected onto me. I’m so tired of being cheated on. I’m so tired of being put on the back burner only to be replaced by someone more “convenient”. I’m so tired of the sudden emotional outbursts I’ve experienced from women I’ve dated.

I’m so tired of them being flighty and going radio silent for days for no reason when otherwise things were going well. I’m so tired of the intense emotional immaturity and emotional instability. I’m so tired of the hot and cold behavior. I’m so tired at how many are so quick to be physically violent if they don’t get their own way.

Even the ones who seemingly have their sh*t together, end up being openly cruel and spiteful at the drop of a hat. Even the ones I seem to vibe with super well, end up buying into playing mind games and “testing” me to get a reaction out of me by giving me the silent treatment unprovoked or challenging everything I say to spur an emotional response.

None of my straight friends around me have experienced any of the horror stories from their boyfriends like I’ve experienced with my lesbian partners. I’ve seen it all – from intense and violent outbursts where I’ve been blamed for “not looking after her anxiety” (like it’s somehow my job to look after someone’s mental health?) to setting up a life with one of my partners, emigrating thousands of miles to be with her, only for her to admit the entire time she’s been with someone else without telling me.

I’m not saying all lesbians are like this by a long shot. But boy am I tired. I’m sorry but I’m done trying to balance my own life, mental wellbeing and day to day routine while trying to jump through hoops to not trigger my female partner.

Lesbians have the highest rates of instability and domestic violence. This is what happens when the stabilizing influence of men is removed from women’s lives. The point is that the more young people embrace sexual anarchy, turning away from chastity, self-sacrificial commitment, and complementary genders, the more they will run into problems. And marrying a sexual anarchist should be completely avoided.

Second, isn’t it interesting how men keep marrying women who initiate divorce to them, then use the family court system to get full custody, alimony and child support? This will work for the first few women who do it, but I think men are learning not get involved with women from watching what’s happening.

A lot of “pro-marriage” social conservatives tell men to man up and ask women out on dates, but what is the value of marriage for men? The problem of declining marriage rate will not be fixed by urging men to jump off the cliff of the devolved modern notion of traditional marriage. If the pro-marriage social conservatives don’t fix what is being offered to men, then men will opt out.
