What is the definition of marriage according to Jesus?

It’s Pride Month! This is when Big Corporations spend an entire month celebrating the LGBT community, and pressuring everyone else to celebrate behaviors and lifestyles that are at odds with the teachings of Jesus. So, since the LGBT activists are about to get 30 days of celebration, I thought I would celebrate what Jesus taught about marriage on my little blog.

Here’s what Jesus says about marriage.

Matthew 19:1-11:

1 Now when Jesus had finished these sayings, he went away from Galilee and entered the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.

2 And large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.

3 And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause?”

4 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female,

5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?

6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?”

8 He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.

9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”

10 The disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”

11 But he said to them, “Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given.

To be a Christian, minimally, is to be a follower of Jesus Christ. That means that we accept what Jesus teaches, on whatever he teaches about. We don’t overturn the teachings of Jesus in order to make people who are rebelling against God feel better about their rebellion. It is central to the Christian worldview that Christians care more about what God thinks of them than what non-Christians think of them. In fact, Christians are supposed to be willing to endure suffering rather than side with non-Christians against God’s authority.

Matt Walsh had a fine article about this issue.

He said:

As Christians, our goal is not to avoid being like the big bad “other Christians,” but to strive to be like Christ Himself. This is one of the advantages to having an Incarnate God. He went around acting and speaking and teaching and generally functioning in our realm, thereby giving us a model to follow. This is the model of a loving and merciful man, and also a man of perfect virtue who fought against the forces of evil, condemned sin, defended his Father in Heaven with sometimes violent force, spoke truth, and eventually laid down His life for those He loved (which would be all of us).

[…]This is what it means to believe in Christ. Not just to believe that He existed, but to believe that Christ is Truth itself, and that everything He said and did was totally and absolutely and irreversibly true forever and always. Many Christians today — not only the ones in the video, but millions alongside them — seem to think we can rightly claim to have “faith” in Jesus or a “relationship” with Him while still categorically denying much of His Word. This is a ridiculous proposition. We can’t declare, in one breath, that Christ is Lord, and in the next suggest that maybe God got it wrong on this or that point. Well, we can make that declaration, but we expose our belief as fraudulent and self-serving. We worship a God we either invented in our heads, which is a false idol, or a God who is fallible, which is a false idol.

If you really accept Jesus as God, then you can’t think he is wrong when he explains what marriage is. Period. End of issue.

Real Christians don’t make excuses for sin. Real Christians present the gospel. The gospel is that all men have rebelled against God and fallen short of perfect submission to and obedience of him. For this, they deserve to be separated from God eternally. Jesus paid the price for this rebellion on the cross, and anyone who accepts him as Savior and Lord will be with God eternally after they die. There is no salvation apart from Jesus. That’s what Christians say. And they say it regardless of how weird they look, and how many non-Christians don’t like them for saying it.

High-ranking Democrat gay activist and his underage boy r*pe fantasies

My friend William sent me a very interesting article about a prominent Democrat gay activist who got caught in a compromising situation. He isn’t the first, and he won’t be the last. Let’s take a look at the story, and then we’ll look at some prominent Democrat donors and same-sex marriage activists who were also caught in similar situations. What does “morality” mean to a secular leftist?

Here’s the story from The Blaze:

The Maryland Democratic Party has scrubbed its webpage and social media histories of all traces of its LGBTQ+ Diversity Leadership Council chairman Michael Knaapen following his fateful encounter with Predator Poachers in Montgomery County.

Democrats are apparently desperate to hide their previous celebrations of Knaapen as a Marylander “making a difference” because of his apparent admissions Thursday that he allegedly sent depraved sexual messages and videos to an individual named “Luke” whom he figured for a 14-year-old boy. That boy turned out to be the invention of Predator Poachers, whose leader Alex Rosen confronted Knaapen Thursday with all of the receipts.

The article notes that  Knaapen visited with White House staff last year, and also attended two White House events. He’s just the sort of person who would be welcomed by the Biden administration. The article also notes that Knaapen thought the fictional boy was underage, and that he gave the fictional boy his address and invited him over on at least two occasions. He also sent an image of his genitals to the fictional boy, and a video of Knaapen pleasuring himself. He expressed the hope that the fictional boy would “try to get away” during sex, so that the experience would seem more like r*pe to Knaapen.

This is the kind of person that Democrats promote to leadership. It’s not an accident. It happens all the time.

Fox News reports about the co-founder of the Human Rights Campaign, organization that frequently invites high-profile Democrats to speak at their events:

Prominent Democrat donor Terry Bean was indicted earlier this month on two counts of sodomy and one count of sex abuse for allegedly having sex with a teenage boy.

Bean was arraigned Thursday on the charges, TV station KGW8 reported. He pleaded not guilty and was taken into custody at Lane County jail in Oregon. He was released Thursday and told KGW8 he was “innocent.”

The indictment was filed on Jan. 4 but made public following the arraignment.

Bean, a gay rights activist who donated almost $70,000 of his own money to former President Barack Obama’s campaign, was charged with sexual abuse in 2014 but the case was dismissed after the alleged victim did not testify. Prosecutors refiled the charges after this, court records stated, according to The Oregonian. The “alleged victim is not named in the new indictment” but the dates are similar to the previous charges, KGW8 noted.

Bean, a real estate developer, and his former boyfriend, Kiah Lawson, allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old boy in a Eugene, Oregon, hotel in September 2013. They allegedly used the app Grindr to arrange the sexual encounter. Lawson was also charged but his case was dismissed.

The Human Rights Campaign has a lot of corporate partners, who agree with the vision of Terry Bean and his organization. You can see a list of HRC corporate supporters right here.

The far-left New York Times reported on a recent case:

The mayor of Seattle, Ed Murray, said on Tuesday that he would resign after announcing in May that he would not seek a second term. Several men have come forward to accuse Mr. Murray of sexually abusing them decades ago, when they were underage.

The announcement came just hours after The Seattle Times published a story with an account by a fifth man, Mr. Murray’s cousin, who said Mr. Murray had abused him in the 1970s.

[..]Mr. Murray, 62, a Democrat, is the city’s first openly gay mayor, and had served in the State Legislature for many years before being elected in 2013.

[…]The liberal Mr. Murray is generally considered a father of Washington’s same-sex marriage law, which he pressed in the State Legislature for years.

In a previous blog post, I listed SIX more cases like this:

  • a university professor at USC
  • a member of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission
  • two men who adopted nine children
  • two men who adopted a boy
  • an activist who ran an organization for boys
  • two men who adopted a boy from Russia

Now you know what people really mean when they say that they support “gay rights”.

What does morality mean to atheists?

Let’s review what objective morality (moral realism) really means in practice for atheists:

In a universe of electrons and selfish genes, blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won’t find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference.

(Richard Dawkins, “God’s Utility Function,” Scientific American, November, 1995, p. 85)

Whatever morality atheists try to claim, the truth is that their worldview cannot ground it rationally. What do atheists believe? This universe is an accident. There are no objective human rights. There is no objective morality. There is no free will nor moral agency. There is no judge of our actions when we die. Other human beings are just lumps of matter to be used for our own pleasure, as long as the atheists are powerful enough to escape the disapproval of those dangerous Bible-believers. Survival of the fittest.

It happened again: transgender suspect attacks Denver police with knife

On this blog, I’ve covered all sorts of violence committed by transgender activists. Not just with knives, but axes, guns, and more. Should we really be encouraging this, the way that the Biden administration is encouraging it? If we encourage it, we’re sure to get more of it. Below, I’ll talk about the latest TWO examples of violence committed by transgender people.

Here’s the first one, from Daily Wire:

The Denver Police Department said this week that a person they shot and killed last week was a transgender individual who tried to attack a police officer with a large knife.

The suspect, 52-year-old Miguel Tapia, a man who claimed that he was a woman, tried to attack a police officer last week with a 7-inch knife, according to body camera footage that was released of the incident.

The shooting happened last Sunday in an intersection when police confronted Tapia and told him to drop what he was holding and to put his hands on his head.

Tapia started aggressively moving toward the police officer with the knife in his hand, at which point two police officers fired tasers at him in an effort to stop him.

When the tasers were unsuccessful, the police officer that he was running after pulled out his pistol and unloaded several shots into the attacker. Another officer also fired at the suspect.

[…]Police said at a press conference that it was possible that he was also an illegal alien. The Daily Wire has reached out to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for comment about the matter.

I did a quick check around and could not find confirmation that this person was an illegal immigrant, but I do know that, according to Newsweek, California is paying for the transgender transitions of illegal immigrants.

Here’s another recent transgender violence story from a few days ago, reported by Breitbart News:

A transgender suspect who allegedly shot and killed his parents in Washington, Utah, Tuesday was captured Wednesday and has been charged with numerous felonies.

ABC 4 noted that the shooting suspect, originally named Collin Troy Bailey, now goes by Mia Bailey, and is “a transgender male transitioning to female.”

KSLTV reported that police confirmed Bailey’s “name and gender were legally changed in 2023.”

[…]2 KUTV reported that law enforcement documents claimed Bailey told them, “She did not have remorse for her actions and that she would not change what she had done.”

Bailey allegedly said, “I would do it again. I hate them.”

Previously, I blogged about the Nashville transgender shooter, who also wrote about hating her parents.  Where are these children getting these ideas? Is there anything that parents can do to protect their children from this ideology?
