Sarah Palin’s statement on health care mentions Michele Bachmann!

Wow! Check out Sarah Palin’s bold statement on health care where she invokes my favorite economist (Thomas Sowell) and my favorite Congresswoman (Michele Bachmann) and my favorite President (Ronald Reagan).

Here is her statement from her Facebook page. (H/T Hot Air, Gateway Pundit)

Full text: (emphasis is mine)

As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.

We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late.

OK, if Sarah wants to usurp Michele’s crown, then quoting three of my favorite people in the whole world is a great start. If she invoked William Lane Craig, then I would definitely be sold.

Black conservative savagely beaten by Democrat union thugs

Story from the St. Louis Dispatch. (H/T Gateway Pundit)

Excerpt:

St. Louis County police say six people were arrested. Two of those were arrested on suspicion of assault, one of resisting arrest and three on suspicion of committing peace disturbances. Carnahan was gone when the ruckus started.

Kenneth Gladney, a 38-year-old conservative activist from St. Louis, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with “Don’t tread on me” printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room of the St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was waiting to be treated for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face that he suffered in the attack. Gladney, who is black, said one of his attackers, also a black man, used a racial slur against him before the attack started.

“It just seems there’s no freedom of speech without being attacked,” he said.

More on how Democrats are suppressing dissent here.

Hot Air has pictures and a few more details from an eyewitness:

I was at the town hall meeting as well and witnessed the events leading up to the attack of Kenneth. Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was handing out “Don’t Tread on Me” flags to other conservatives. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also brutally attacked by one other male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo.Kenneth was beaten badly. One assailant fled on foot; three others were arrested. Kenneth was admitted to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center emergency room, where he was treated for his numerous injuries. Kenneth was merely expressing his freedom of speech by handing out the flags. In fact, he merely asked people as they exited the town hall meeting whether they would like a flag. He in no way provoked any argument or altercation, as evidenced by the fact that three assailants were arrested.

Where are the Democrat race-hustlers to yell “Racism”? Oh, probably sitting next to the feminists when do nothing about Muslim honor killings.

Here is another video of a Democrat politician screaming at a constituent who dared to ask him a question about Obama’s health care plan at a town hall meeting.

Who has the real extremist mobs? The right or the left?

It looks like Obama isn’t very happy with community-organizing when the shoe is on the other foot.

The Republicans have released a new ad about Obama’s public option plan. (H/T Hot Air)

But look at this Democrat ad about those who disagree with Obama’s policies. (H/T Hot Air)

Are people who dissent from Obama’s takeover of health care really as bad as the Democrats say?

Michelle Malkin has 6 different videos of real mobs in action, including:

  • suppressing free speech and freedom of assembly
  • interfering with military operations
  • breaking into people’s homes illegally
  • chasing Christian evangelists in the streets
  • and attacking supporters of traditional marriage

It seems to me that real mobs are on the left.

Please tell Big Brother who is dissenting

The Democrats are now asking people to report dissent against their plan to take over health care. The secular-left knows how to handle dissenters, comrade!

It’s right here on the White House web site. (H/T Michelle Malkin)

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

Let’s face it. The secular-left in the USA is no different than the secular-left throughout history. This is what they do.

UPDATE: Michelle Malkin reports that Senator John Cornyn has asked Obama to stop asking citizens to report dissent to the White House from their fellow citizens. Read Cornyn’s statement here.
