Obama administration knew about Orlando Islamic terrorist back in 2013

Democrats think that the real threat to America is not radical Islamic terrorism
Democrats think that the real threat to America is not radical Islamic terrorism

The Democrat Party likes to bash conservatives for being too tough on national security, national defense and law enforcement. And that desire to coddle criminals and terrorists naturally results in more risk and danger to the law-abiding taxpayers who pay Democrat salaries.

Investors Business Daily explains:

FBI Special Agent in Charge Ronald Hopper told ABC News that the FBI had twice looked into Mateen: In 2013, after he made what Hopper called “inflammatory” comments to co-workers, and again in 2014, after he was linked to Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, another American who became a radicalized Muslim, who became a suicide bomber in Syria.

Given that Mateen worked for G4S, a Department of Homeland Security contractor, shouldn’t this have raised significant questions?

One of Mateen’s co-workers at G4S, Daniel Gilroy, told the Tampa Bay Times: “He talked about killing people all the time.”

Yes, but Americans can’t say anything about potential Muslim terrorists, or Democrat Attorney General will persecute them for anti-Muslim discrimination. She says that is her top priority, in fact. Not law enforcement. Not investigating the IRS persecution of conservative groups in an election year. No – her top priority is prosecuting those who raise the alarm about potential Islamic terrorists for “hate speech”. This is the Democrat Party.

More:

Mateen was interviewed by investigators three times in relation to those probes, but the FBI determined Mateen was no threat, Hopper said.

Finally, on Monday, FBI Director James Comey said Mateen showed “strong indications of radicalization” and was likely inspired by foreign terrorist organizations.

In short, he was a “known wolf,” not a “lone wolf.” This is a disturbing pattern with terrorist mass murders, whether in Boston, San Bernardino or Ft. Hood, Texas. A pattern of behavior emerges, and is ignored. Ties to extremists are viewed as harmless. Then people are slaughtered.

This problem will not go away. Indeed, the world has been repeatedly drenched with the blood of radical Islam’s victims since 9/11 and before. As the observant Roger L. Simon noted, “Total deadly terror attacks in the name of Allah since 9/11 stand at 28,576 with who-knows-how-many corpses.”

Recall that the FBI was infiltrated by secular leftist groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center. The secular leftist FBI “partners” teach the FBI that the real threats to America are conservatives, Christians, pro-lifers, law-abiding gun owners, veterans, and those who believe in traditional marriage. That’s where the FBI’s attention has been for the last 8 years. Not on radical Islam, which they take to be as peaceful as the Boy Scouts. Obama told them so, and they believe it. All of our national security, national defense and law enforcement organizations believe it.

Is the Democrat President Obama serious about protecting taxpayers from terrorist threats?

Of course not:

[…]President Obama’s response after the attacks was not only disappointing in its failure to recognize the ongoing threat from radical Islam, but likely endangered future American lives with its obtuseness. He couldn’t even bring himself to use the most obvious words of all to describe what happened: “Radical Islamic terrorism.”

“I think we don’t yet know the motivations” of the murder, Obama said. Except, as Britain’s Daily Mail points out, the terrorist “pledged his loyalty to ISIS in a 911 call as he carried out the attack.” The loyalty wasn’t one way: Islamic State radio called the terrorist, Omar Mateen, a “soldier of the Caliphate.”

Maybe the attack was “workplace violence” again? Obama likes to call attacks that are clearly Islamic terrorism “workplace violence”.

There was another attack at Fort Hood a while back, and it was proven that the attacker was in contact with Al Qaeda. Obama called that one “workplace violence”.

And then there was beheading by a radical Islamist in Oklahoma, and Obama called that one “workplace violence” as well.

And the attack on the recruiting station in Chattanooga, TN was never labeled as terrorism by the Obama administration, either. Maybe it was “workplace violence”?

And of course, long after the San Bernadino terrorist attack occurred, Obama couldn’t figure out what the motive of the attack was. Probably it was “workplace violence”.

You can be sure that the Obama administration will spare no expense in trying to link the Orlando attack to Tea Party groups, or, failing that, to evangelical Christians. We hired people who sympathize more with our enemies than us to protect us.

ADF offers advice on SCOTUS marriage redefinition ruling

States with non-discrimination laws
States with non-discrimination laws

(Source: ACLU)

Erik Stanley of the Alliance Defending Freedom offers advice to churches on how to respond to the Supreme Court’s decision to redefine marriage to remove the gender requirement.

He says:

[…][T]he greatest threat for churches lies in the application of the Court’s decision to believers who live in jurisdictions covered by so-called “non-discrimination” laws and ordinances. Everywhere that marriage has been redefined in the last several years has seen an awakening of non-discrimination laws that prohibit discrimination in employment, housing, or places of public accommodation on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. These laws are peppered throughout the states and local governments and are a linchpin of the sexual revolution’s broader legal and political strategy: to establish non-discrimination laws at all levels throughout the country and to to “ensure that religion is not used as an excuse to discriminate.”

In coming days, the threat from these non-discrimination laws will materialize in numerous ways as same-sex couples marry. But there are proactive steps your church can take to protect itself.

I put the map from the ACLU above. I think that’s what he is talking about when he says non-discrimination states. Keep in mind that the ACLU supported redefining marriage, and opposes religious liberty.

Erik’s article covers 3 areas:

  1. Church’s statement of faith
  2. Pastors officiating same-sex marriage ceremonies
  3. Church’s facility usage policy

Part 3) was the most interesting to me:

3. Churches should ensure their facilities usage policies are revised to allow only uses consistent with the church’s religious beliefs.

In the wake of the Supreme Court ruling, some churches may be approached by same-sex couples seeking to be married in the church facility. Churches should not feel as if they have to close their doors to the community just to prevent wedding ceremonies with which they disagree. Churches must continue to be a welcoming presence in the community and can do so through updating or revising their facility usage policy. The key point is to tie usage of the church’s facility to the statement of faith and religious beliefs of the church. And then to make clear that uses inconsistent with those religious beliefs will not be allowed. Alliance Defending Freedom has a sample facilities usage policy available in our Protecting Your Ministry manual.

So you update your statement of faith, and then tie usage of the the facility to that statement of faith. Simple.

I took a quick look at the booklet, and it also talked about tying employment within the church and church membership to the statement of faith.

Denny Burk summarizes those:

2. Religious Employment Criteria

Your church can best avail itself of the First Amendment’s protection in employee disputes if you create and faithfully enforce religious employment criteria for every employee. That requires churches to do at least two things: (1) require all employees and volunteers to sign a statement affirming the church’s statement of faith and standards of conduct, and (2) create written job descriptions for every employee and volunteer position.

4. Formal Membership Policy

If your church does not have a membership policy, you need to change that. Biblically, this should already be a priority for your church. You need to specify what the requirements for membership are, how one joins, how one resigns, and the procedures for church discipline. If all of this isn’t spelled out up front, your church could be exposed (see ADF guide pp. 17-18).

So what to make of this? Well, the ADF is an organization that I admire and trust. I cannot abide Christians who do not want to understand the details of what is happening with religious liberty in their country. The ADF has first class lawyers from the top law schools, and they defend religious liberty at every level of our justice system, up to and including the Supreme Court. If you want to help your church protect itself from prosecution, then you must point them to the ADF booklet linked above.

And this is especially true if you are in one of those states in the map above. In looking over the map, I noticed that much of the trouble we have been having with Christian businesses getting sued are in states that have these laws… Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, New York, and so on. Pay attention to that map and make decisions about where to live accordingly.

ACLU lawyers blame Christians for Orlando attack committed by Islamic terrorist

Omar Mateen, the Islamic Terrorist Who Attacked Orlando Gay Club
Omar Mateen, the Islamic Terrorist Who Attacked Orlando Gay Club

Everyone has heard the news about the latest Islamic terror attack in Orlando.

A few quick things about it before I make my main point:

First, it was another gun-free zone, and the majority of multiple-victim public shootings happen in gun-free zones. This is because attackers know that their law-abiding victims will be unarmed.

Second, Islamic terrorists have had an easy time under President Obama, who likes to blame Islamic terrorism on anyone except Islamic terrorists. This Democrat Party moral relativism has led to a staggering 85 Islamic terrorist plots since 9/11.

Third, we know that Obama has been pulling punches against Islamic terrorism throughout the last 8 years. A perfect example of this the fact that the Orlando attacker was a “person of interest” to the FBI in 2013 and 2014. But nothing was done.

Fourth, former Muslim Nabeel Qureshi what Muslims are taught about this issue:

Islam itself has always taught that gays should be executed. Muhammad commanded: “If you find anyone doing as Lot’s people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done” (Sunan Abu Daud 4447). Imams who have been trained in these Islamic teachings are teaching in our communities. Just three months ago, an imam who is well known for proclaiming Muhammad’s teachings on homosexuality spoke in Orlando. In a prior speech about homosexuals he was noted to have said, “Let’s get rid of them now” (video and news article). The imam spoke at an Islamic center that is less than 20 miles from the site of today’s atrocities. Some American-born Muslims, such as Omar, are taking teachings like these at face value, listening to their imams and following Muhammad.

The Obama administration is still “working to determine a motive“, despite the fact that the attacker is known to have pledged allegiance to Islamic State. Of course they are. It’s probably just workplace violence.

The ACLU lays the blame on…

But here is what I wanted to write about this time – something that my friend William found and posted, from The Daily Caller.

It’s about the ACLU, which is a group that opposes civil liberties, such as religious liberty. They also oppose national security measures designed to protect the public from terrorist threats.

It says:

Several American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) attorneys took to Twitter to blame the “Christian Right” for Sunday’s deadly terrorist attack at a nightclub in Orlando, Fla., which left 50 dead and 53 injured.

Chase Strangio, a staff attorney with the ACLU’s LGBT and AIDS Project, claimed the social and political environment cultivated by Christian conservatives in recent months was to blame for the shooting at Pulse, a nightclub popular with Orlando’s LGBT community.

Strangio also called for solidarity between American Muslims and LGBT communities, arguing both are maligned and oppressed by the religious right.

Isn’t that interesting? After trying to stop common sense measures to prevent terrorist attacks, the ACLU doesn’t blame themselves for what happened. They blame their enemies – the Bible-believing Christians. Bible-believing Christians respond to the gay agenda by using words to express disagreement, not by violence. The violence is done by the Islamic terrorists.

What do I think about the tweets by the ACLU attorney? Well, the ACLU is an organization that hates religious liberty, and public expressions of Christian belief and convictions. When a person denies God, they lose the rational ground for object morality, and moral reasoning becomes impossible. Anything becomes morally permissible, including lying. Some people are so deep in a sinful lifestyle, that aren’t able to think clearly about facts that are plain to everyone else. The hate just dominates them to such a degree that rational thought becomes impossible.
