People on the secular left often struggle to rationally ground basic morality. Their version of “morality” starts with their own personal autonomy – and that’s absolute. Then, try to paint a portrait of themselves as “moral”, despite their support for abortion, infanticide, divorce, sex-trafficking children, etc. How can you claim to be moral when your morality is “survival of the fittest”?

Here’s the story of a woman who didn’t take the right to life seriously – reported in Daily Wire:

A British nurse convicted last week of murdering seven infants between 2015 and 2016 and attempting to murder six more has been sentenced to life in prison.

The 33-year-old nurse, who will not be named per Daily Wire policy, became the United Kingdom’s worst serial killer of babies in recent times after she was convicted in 14 out of the 22 counts she faced, People Magazine reported. On Monday, she was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

[…]The nurse’s trial took ten months to complete at Manchester Crown Court, with the 11-person jury failing to reach verdicts on six additional counts of attempted murder. She was also found not guilty on two counts of attempted murder.

The woman, who worked as a nurse in the neonatal ward of the Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester, England, would inject air into babies’ blood and stomachs, overfeed them with milk, physically assault them, and poison them with insulin, CNN reported.

If there is one thing common to every person on the secular left, it’s their absolute hatred of being held accountable. People on the secular left hate to be judged, and they oppose all punishment for moral crimes. They feel that they should be able to do what they want, and that their own personal desires should be respected by everyone as “objective morality”.

And this woman is no exception:

The nurse didn’t appear for sentencing, which has led some to call for changes in law to ensure that a guilty person is present for their sentencing hearing, CNN reported. During sentencing, Justice James Goss explained that the nurse deserved life in prison because her crimes were “a cruel, calculated and cynical campaign of child murder involving the smallest and most vulnerable of children.”

He spoke as if the nurse were in the courtroom and ordered his remarks and all victim impact statements to be sent to the convicted serial killer.

“There was a deep malevolence bordering on sadism. During the course of this trial you have coldly denied any responsibility for your wrongdoing. You have no remorse. There are no mitigating factors,” he said, according to CNN.

Honestly, I’m surprised to hear words like this come out of a United Kingdom judge. They’re not a country that’s known for holding evil people accountable.

I thought this part was interesting:

Text messages and social media activity also coincided with the attacks, some of which seemed to live blog the events. This activity, according to CPS, showed the nurse had an “intrusive curiosity about the parents of babies she had harmed.”

Who knows what the motives of this woman are? There is a lot of hostility towards children out there today, especially among feminists. Many of them are bitter about  being childless in their 30s. Others are committed to global warming alarmism, and believe that it hurts the planet to have children. Others are concerned about “overpopulation” – especially when people of certain races have “too many” children.

This women doesn’t have to be “evil” or “crazy”. She could just be acting rationally according to standard secular leftist beliefs. She could just be lacking any of the boundaries that come from the Judeo-Christian worldview. Those boundaries are disappearing now, so we should expect to see more secular left “morality” like this happening more and more.

Sometimes, people ask me why I have an alias, and my first answer is that I want to be able to speak my mind without becoming a victim of the secular leftist. What might they do to me? Well, aside from the obvious – threats, vandalism, violence, theft, murder – they might also like to go to my employer and ask to have me fired. And that that actually happens a lot in America.

California woman says she lost her real estate job after speaking out against a new sex education curriculum at a school board meeting.

Janet Roberson, a mother of three, said she had spoken out at a meeting of the Benicia Unified School District’s board on April 20 to express her concerns about the program of study.

Her employer is Compass, a real estate broker:

Roberson said that after she spoke at the meeting in April, critics launched a campaign to get her fired from real estate broker Compass, according to a video posted on her website.

[…]Roberson said the treasurer of the Progressive Democrats of Benicia also contacted Compass and gave a May 1 deadline for answers to questions about Roberson’s conduct.

“Sure enough, like clockwork, Compass informed me that I could no longer be associated with them by her deadline date,” she said in her video.

“How can it be that in America, a mom who speaks at a school board meeting can be targeted and canceled, losing her livelihood?”

It appears to me as though Compass made their decision based on her personal, political or social beliefs. That’s not a company for Christians and conservatives to do business with.

The Benicia Unified School District doesn’t seem to be open to engaging in dialogue with parents about their programs. They don’t seem to want to offer a platform to parents to speak about the school curriculum. They seem to want to refuse to hear and consider all voices when making decisions about what to teach.

It’s important for Christians to understand that it’s not optional for us to speak our minds, and try to influence people around us. I know so many Christians who consider it a virtue to keep their mouths shut. The trick is to make a difference without letting the intolerant, bigoted fascists of the secular left come after you. Never tell them your real name, where you live, or where you work. Don’t let yourself be photographed. Don’t put photographs of yourself on the Internet. It’s really important to oppose the secular left in a disciplined way.

I keep seeing LIbsOfTikTok in my Twitter feed, sharing videos posted by teachers who are advocating for pushing gender ideology in the classrooms. I used to wonder what was causing all of these teachers to sexualize children who aren’t even old enough to drive a car. It turns out that those teachers are being coached by teacher unions.

A new report accuses the two largest teachers unions in the United States of training educators on how to include “gender identity politics” in their curriculums and classroom practices.

The National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) together represent nearly 5 million public school teachers nationwide. In a report published Wednesday by the Defense of Freedom Institute (DFI), the two unions are accused of encouraging teachers to discuss gender identity and sexual orientation with students regardless of parents’ wishes.

The report details a July conference where AFT allegedly “coached its members on how to inject gender identity politics” into classrooms. The conference, titled the Together Educating America’s Children (TEACH) conference, was comprised of sessions on “strategies to improve teaching and learning.”

Two of the sessions included “Affirming LGBTQIA+ Identities in and out of the Classroom” and “The TGNCNB [transgender, gender nonconforming, nonbinary] Inclusive School and Classroom,” according to DFI’s report.

I’ve blogged before about how teacher unions are HUGE supporters of the Democrat party, and they are always getting involved in politics to undermine parental rights. They don’t want children to inherit a worldview from their parents.

The article notes:

At a rally earlier this year, NEA leaders called Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act “extremist,” according to DFI’s report. The Florida legislation requires, among other things, that teachers in the state refrain from discussing gender identity and sexual orientation with students in third grade and younger.

[…]Last month, NEA issued guidance on placing “inclusive symbols” in classrooms, encouraging teachers to challenge policies prohibiting Pride flags and Black Lives Matter imagery. The guidance followed the union’s inclusion of “Gender Queer” on its summer reading list, a book that has been removed from schools nationwide due to its sexually explicit contents.

When I was a young man, still in high school, I actually wanted to become an English teacher. My Dad was pushing me to go into computer science. So he enrolled me in a university course taught during evenings, by a lesbian woman. That quickly cured me of wanting to become a teacher – English departments were absolute hotbeds of progressive politics, even 25 years ago.

I did some searching around and found that there was no way I was going to be able to work without paying dues to the teacher unions, too. And I knew enough to know that the teacher unions were far left. I just didn’t want to get roped into a situation where my income was being taxed to pay for abortion and LGBT policies. So, I decided not to become a teacher. And that was a great decision.
