Is Barack Obama a Christian? Are Democrats the party of atheism?

Watch this video of a Democrat member of Congress and see what Democrats think of God.

Is that typical for Democrats? I think so.

What about Barack Obama? Does Barack Obama believe in God? Is Barack Obama a Christian?

I don’t think that he does believe in God – at least he seems to not want to acknowledge it in public.

I actually think he is an atheist. And Ann Coulter agrees with me. She thinks that all liberals are atheists.

Here is a helpful video showing Barack Obama’s view on whether faith in Christ is necessary for salvation.

He doesn’t believe that Jesus is the only path to salvation, which I think is required to be an authentic Christian.

Here is a series of 7 videos examining whether Barack Obama is a Christian. (The link has transcripts to each clip)

I really don’t care whether he is a Christian or not with respect to being the President, but I do care that people know his view of Christian doctrine.

  1. Barack Obama basically believes that all religions are much of a muchness and to do this he invents a god of his liking that doesn’t seem to care about logical inconsistencies in such a belief, but lets him affirm whatever he likes in the name of that god. He calls himself a Christian (redefining what the word means), because of having had some influence from sources calling themselves Christian in his upbringing, and because it is expedient in a country where many people tick the “Christian” box on surveys. I also agree that his not being Christian is not relevant to his presidency. But it is very relevant when people lap up everything he says and he claims he’s Christian and they believe him when he says that while simultaneously contradicting core Christian beliefs.

Huh? IF he wasn’t president, you wouldn’t be commenting.

Care to explain further your thinking?

    1. I think he’s saying you don’t have to be a christian to be a good president – you have to have a solid grasp of economics, better than average judgement, ect.

I too am curious as to why you want people to know his view on christian doctrine. Do you believe have people known it they would not have elected him or that he is somehow destroying the christian faith?

      1. I want it known so that people will know how to assess his claim to be a Christian. It goes to character. He should not use that word if he doesn’t mean what the word means. He should say “I am an apostate” or “I am a postmodern relativist universalist” or he should say “there is no non-material being that created the universe or designed it for complex life”.
