Now, thanks to the latest research, we have the answer: calcium. Evolutionists are now saying that a rise in ocean calcium levels triggered the assembly of unicellular organisms into multicellular organisms and the rest, as evolutionists say, is history. What is astonishing is that there is anyone left out there who questions evolution. Can’t they see that these guys are doing the heavy lifting? This is just rock solid investigative research, the kind we’ve come to expect from evolutionists.
From the abstract of the paper:
We propose that stronger cell adhesion allowed the integrity of genetically uniform animals composed only of “self” cells, facilitating genetic constitutions to remain within the metazoan individual and be passed down inheritance lines. The Cambrian explosion might have been triggered by the coincidence in time of primitive animals endowed with self-/non-self-recognition and of a surge in seawater calcium that increased the binding forces between their calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecules.
It seems to me that the thing to be explained in the Cambrian explosion is “where did the NEW information come from for the NEW body plans”. Positing better glue to stick single cells together doesn’t address where the NEW code came from totally NEW body plans and NEW organ types.

Pseudo-science, just like global warming research. These guys are making up the evidence for conclusion they want, instead of basing a conclusion on the evidence.

They don’t allow you to publish evidence in peer-reviewed journals for any view except their view. It’s the Catholic Church vs Galileo – they’re the Catholic Church, and they refuse to look through the telescope because of their religious pre-supposition of naturalism, which cannot be overturned by scientific inquiry.
That’s why we need to encourage more debates where both sides get a chance to speak at length about the evidence. The trouble is that Darwinists are cowards, and prefer to intimidate, terminate and/or censor people rather than engage them. They just don’t want to talk to people who disagree with them.

Seriously though, until they demonstrate that bacteria and other organisms with extremely high mutation/generation rates benefit in some way over long periods of time in a calcium rich environment, there is nothing to see here.

yeah, I’ve seen the similarity in how the priests of the religion of evolution treat people who disagree, when compared to how the priests of the religion of global warming treat people who dont agree.
Both of them act the the Roman Catholic Church of old, when they were the only ones who had power and people had to risk reputation, liberty, and life to speak the truth.

Darwinian evolutionists will forever it seems cling to their philosophical religion that has no basis whatsoever in scientific evidence but continues to be an endless stream of suppositions and theories based on those suppositions. Like global warming their preconceived models are designed to provide the answer they desire which of course bears not even the remotist resemblance to scientific discovery. Once the calcium theory is debunked as an explanation for the Cambrian Explosion, they will simply move on to another equally absurd explanation while ignoring the increasing body of scientific evidence that proves darwinian evolution is nothing more than what it has always been, a philosophy that denies Intelligent Design, i.e. a Creator because such adds credibility to the notion of accountability which makes them uncomfortable.
Genesis 1:1 remains the most scientific statement in all of the Bible. Science simply glorifies and exalts the Creator as was realized by the many brilliant scientific minds of the past and today. The irreducible complexity of the cosmos and life makes it abundantly evident that both had to be created and not the product of randomness over seemingly infinite time.
It takes far more faith, even a giant leap of faith, to believe that the cosmos and all that dwells therein could simply be spontaneously self created. Not so for the believer whose faith is rooted in historical, anthropological and scientific evidence.
