CIA in Libya reported that Benghazi was a terrorist attack in first 24 hours

Within 24 hours of the deadly attack, the CIA station chief in Libya reported to Washington that there were eyewitness reports that the attack was carried out by militants, officials told The Associated Press. But for days, the Obama administration blamed it on an out-of-control demonstration over an American-made video ridiculing Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.

[…][T]he issue has given Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney an opportunity to question Obama on foreign policy and national security, two areas that have received little attention in an election dominated by the U.S. economy. Obama’s signature national security accomplishment is the military’s killing of terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.

Ryan was teeing up the issue for Monday’s presidential debate on foreign policy.

“I’m excited we’re going to have a chance to talk about that on Monday,” Ryan said.

Obama, speaking Thursday on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” insisted that information was shared with the American people as it came in. 

I am looking forward to that debate on foreign policy, this Monday night.

Previously, I blogged about how the State Department account of the events also contradicted the Obama administration’s account, which made Muslims look like innocent victims of offensive free speech by Americans. The Obama campaign is not doing too well in its fundraising, so they can ill afford to offend one of their most-favored constituencies by making them look like the bad guys.

CANDY CROWLEY, debate moderator, after the debate: You know, again, I heard the president’s speech at the time. I sort of reread a lot of stuff about Libya because I knew we’d probably get a Libya question, so I kind of wanted to be up on it. So we knew that the president had said, you know, ‘these acts of terror won’t stand,’ or whatever the whole quote was.

I think actually, you know, because right after that, I did turn to Romney and said you were totally correct but they spent two weeks telling us that this was about a tape and that there was this riot outside of the Benghazi consulate, which there wasn’t. So he was right in the main, I just think that he picked the wrong word.

Unfortunately, this was not her only mistake. She also cut Romney off about Fast and Furious to protect her best buddy Obama from looking bad on gun control. It’s too late to apologize now, and she should be fired. Just like all the other left-wing activists in the mainstream media.

Here are a few:

1. She wouldn’t let him respond when Obama lied about the auto industry. First she called him Mr. Romney instead of governor, then protested, “there’ll be plenty of chances here to go on, but I want to… We have all these folks.  I will let you absolutely… OK. Will – will – you certainly will have lots of time here coming up.” Romney never did get the chance to respond.

2. After the question asking whether gas prices as they stand now are the new normal, Obama got 2 chances to respond. When Romney asked for his second chance, Crowley shut him off by saying, “ … in the follow up, it doesn’t quite work like that. But I’m going to give you a chance here. I promise you, I’m going to.” She didn’t.

3. When discussing how he would deal with deductions, just as Romney was about to destroy Obama with statistics, Crowley jumped in to save her man not only by denying the value of statistics, but changing the narrative to say Romney’s numbers couldn’t possibly add up:

 “And Governor, let’s – before we get into a vast array of who says – what study says what, if it shouldn’t add up. If somehow when you get in there, there isn’t enough tax revenue coming in. If somehow the numbers don’t add up, would you be willing to look again …”

4. When Romney was trying to make a point of Obama’s pension investing in China, Crowley cut him off by insinuating people were tired of him talking:

“Governor Romney, you can make it short. See all these people? They’ve been waiting for you.  Make it short.”

Then she really tried to humiliate him with this: “If I could have you sit down, Governor Romney. Thank you.” She never asked Obama to sit down.

The State Department has said that it never believed the September 11th attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was the result of a protest over an anti-Islam movie – directly contradicting the rest of the Obama administration.

As they drove through the crowd, attackers threw grenades and sprayed their armoured vehicle with gunfire from AK-47 assault rifles from a distance of two feet.

So, according to the Obama administration, AK-47s, mortars and rocket propelled grenades are all part of a peaceful protest by peace-loving Muslims against a very offensive (but seldom watched) Youtube video put out by the evil capitalist West, with their evil free speech. America is to blame for the attack. It’s not intentionally targeting civilians with violence that’s wrong, it’s Westerners using free speech to offend peace-loving Muslims. I wouldn’t be surprised to see anti-blasphemy laws come out of this cover-up. This administration is a disgrace.

Here’s the truth about Democrats and national security:

Obama lied, Americans died. And then the mainstream media helped him to cover it up with more lies. We need to get this naive amateur away from national security and foreign policy. The Obama administration is covering up for Muslim terrorists like they have been doing for the last 4 years, and over the dead body of our ambassador. Just like they covered up for the Mexican drug cartels who killed our border agents as part of the Obama administration’s Fast and Furious gun-running operation. It’s lies piled on top of lies piled on top of lies. Blaming the United States and exonerating our enemies. That’s Obama’s worldview.
