I was hoping to write about something Christian today, but there were a whole TON of stories about election integrity on the web sites that I read daily to get news. So, I collected a bunch of them below. I hope this will encourage everyone to not only go vote, but also to be sharing articles on the issues that are likely to concern independents – such as school choice and parental authority.

Here’s the first one, from Daily Wire, talking about Google’s interference in the elections to favor Democrats:

The Republican National Committee has filed a complaint with the Federal Election  Commission, alleging that Google is suppressing the GOP vote in November by sending millions of RNC election emails to recipients’ spam folders.

According to RNC officials, over 22 million emails sent in the last three days of September from the RNC were spammed by Google; over 3.1 million on September 28, over 9.8 million on September 29, and over 9.97 million on September 30.

I was reading the article to see if the RNC had any proof of Google bias (although I know Google products favor the Democrat party in measurable ways) and found this:

An April study conducted by researchers at North Carolina State University found that Gmail favored candidates on the political Left. The study stated, “Gmail … retained the majority of left-wing candidate emails in inbox (< 10.12% marked as spam) while sent the majority of right-wing candidate emails to the spam folder (up to 77.2% marked as spam).”

The study also claimed that Gmail “marks a significantly higher percentage (67.6%) of emails from the right as spam compared to the emails from left (just 8.2%). Gmail marked 59.3% more emails from the right candidates as spam compared to the left candidates.”

My philosopher friend Blake likes to tell me about his philosophy friends who deny that voter fraud is real. So I sent him this article from Daily Wire about voter fraud:

A former U.S. Congressman, a Democrat, was sentenced to more than two years in jail last week for committing election fraud intended to help Democrat candidates.

Former Rep. Michael “Ozzie” Myers, 79, who represented a district in Pennsylvania, pled guilty to conspiracy to deprive voters of civil rights, bribery, obstruction of justice, falsification of voting records, conspiring to illegally vote in a federal election, and orchestrating schemes to fraudulently stuff the ballot boxes for specific Democratic candidates in the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Pennsylvania elections, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement.

United States District Court Judge Paul S. Diamond sentenced Myers to 30 months in prison with three years of supervised release for his crimes and ordered Myers to pay $100,000 in fines, with $10,000 of that due immediately.

And here is another one from The Federalist by my favorite Federalist lady, Joy Pullmann, where she writes about Google rigging elections with biased search results:

In a September interview that went viral on social media Sunday, a United Nations operative admitted the U.S. government-funded organization “partnered with Google” to rig the results returned on the world’s dominant search engine for the phrase “climate change.”

[…]The Biden White House is fighting further disclosures about high-level federal officials’ involvement in this government-pressured censorship regime, including Anthony Fauci and the White House press secretary. The companies involved include Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, the court documents say.

Earlier this year, a clip of Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg — who threw hundreds of millions of dollars obtained from his communications monopoly company into helping Democrat activists embed inside government election offices in 2020 — also went viral. It showed him telling podcaster Joe Rogan that the FBI also controls the information Facebook allows people to share. The FBI’s meddling affected the 2020 presidential election outcome.

She talks about Big Tech, but also about the FBI and the DOJ:

U.S. intelligence agencies in particular have paid precisely zero penalties for using their powers to openly meddle in U.S. elections. The most recent operation they conducted that we know about is the Russia collusion hoax manufactured to keep voters from electing Donald Trump, or, failing that, to make the Electoral College majority of voters’ choice of Trump meaningless.

Because officials such as Bill Barr and John Durham, as well as Republicans or anyone else in Congress, have failed to penalize the FBI and Department of Justice’s election interference operations, they’re increasing. RedState, Tucker Carlson, and Steve Bannon say several dozen Trump associates and supporters have been recently raided or subpoenaed by the FBI.

The FBI is also meddling in state elections by investigating candidates based on their political positions. It raided a former president’s home on laughable charges similar to those the FBI director dismissed for that president’s election opponent.

Also, of course, the FBI and DOJ are hunting down political opponents of Democrats on largely trespassing charges and making sure they’re given maximum punishment, all clearly based on political prejudice, not justice. This is the same FBI that has been proven to hide behind false “national security” claims and to lie to judges and grand juries to authorize spying and raids of Democrats’ political opponents, with no consequences to speak of yet.

Here’s another story about Milwaukee elections from The Federalist:

As Empower Wisconsin first reported on Wednesday, communications obtained in an open records request to the city by state Rep. Janel Brandtjen (R-Menomonee Falls) show longtime Democratic Party operative Sachin Chheda telling [Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier] Johnson and his staff what to say about the Wisconsin Votes 2022 get-out-the-vote campaign. The effort is being funded by a left-wing activist group with close ties to the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), a leftist nonprofit funded by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

While city officials, under the direction of Chheda, have said Milwaukee is not receiving any private funding for the effort, two things are clear: The mayor’s office is taking orders from Democratic Party operatives, and the city of Milwaukee is coordinating with left-wing groups in what looks like an expensive effort to influence the outcome of November’s election.

Anyway, here’s another one from The Federalist about Democrat billionaire Michael Bloomberg:

A prominent professor of election law served as an intermediary between Democrat billionaire Michael Bloomberg and the Philadelphia election board, attempting to broker as much as $3 million in private funding for the Democrat stronghold mere months before the 2020 election, emails obtained by investigative journalist Todd Shepherd reveal.

So, the odds are definitely stacked against Republicans in November. Now is a good time to share articles about issues that might be interesting to moderates and independents. I’ve been posting about financial stories, like inflation, gas prices, the stock market, etc. and also education stories, like transgenderism, critical race theory, and the FBI investigating teachers who complain about school performance.

I know that if you ask the FBI, they will tell you that half the country is composed of domestic terrorists trying to commit insurrection. But all the arson, domestic terrorism and crime is being committed by the secular left. Here’s the latest example of domestic terrorismt hate crimes committed by Democrats.

Daily Signal reports:

Eighty-four-year-old Joan Jacobson never imagined she would be shot when she knocked on the door of a Michigan couple’s home, hoping to convince them not to vote for a local pro-abortion ballot proposal.

Sharon Harvey answered the door and quickly became “hostile, belligerent, and antagonistic” when she learned Jacobson’s mission, according to David Kallman, Jacobson’s attorney with the Great Lakes Justice Center.

[…]In a Thursday phone interview with The Daily Signal, Jacobson insisted that Harvey refused to listen to her, yelling over her, and finally ordering her off the property. The 120-pound woman, who stands at 5 feet tall, said that Harvey followed her down the porch, onto the sidewalk, continuing to yell at her, before her husband Richard Harvey appeared in the yard carrying a .22 caliber rifle.

“When that registered in my mind, I heard a shot, I felt some pain, and I thought he had hit me in the back,” she said. Jacobson learned at the hospital that the bullet allegedly went through her shoulder and out her back, very narrowly missing her spine. “I was just in shock. I said to myself, ‘Did I just get shot? Did he just shoot me?’”

I looked up the shooter’s wife on Facebook, and surprisingly, her account is still up, and she is still posting to it. She really loves labor unions! The funny thing is that she also posts against gun ownership. She and her husband are exactly the kind of people who should not be allowed to own guns.

This isn’t the only violence that’s been committed recently by abortion extremists.

Daily Wire notes:

In response to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade in late June, there have been a wave of attacks on pro-life centers and pro-life churches, including the firebombing of some of these buildings.

Already in July, it was reported that, “At least 76 churches and pro-life organizations have been targets of arson and vandalism since May when news leaked that the U.S. Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade.” According to the Catholic News Agency’s tracker, that number has now risen to 94.

[…]We’re talking about attacks on as many as 50 pregnancy centers and 32 churches, along with scattered attacks on other targets. These have taken place in multiple states and have ranged from spraying graffiti on walls to firebombing buildings and from smashing windows to defacing billboards. Specific groups, like Jane’s Revenge, have taken responsibility for some these attacks. And yet still no arrests?

Still no arrests. That article is from September 17, 2022. Where is the FBI? Why aren’t they arresting any pro-abortion criminals?

Daily Caller talks about what’s going on at the Biden FBI:

The FBI is revoking the security clearances of conservative agents and retaliating against suspected whistleblowers, three House Republicans alleged in a Thursday letter.

Republicans in both chambers of Congress have alleged widespread politicized misconduct in the FBI, most notably by a Washington, D.C., agent who investigated Hunter Biden. That agent, Timothy Thibault, resigned in August rather than face an internal review. Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has said that whistleblowers have approached his office to report internal misconduct in the bureau’s investigations into former President Donald Trump.

The FBI is cracking down on suspected whistleblowers in response, Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Darrell Issa of California, and Mike Johnson of Louisiana alleged in a letter to FBI Executive Assistant Director Jennifer Leigh Moore. Moore signed “many” clearance revocation orders and “retaliated against at least one whistleblower,” the lawmakers claimed.

[…]FBI agent Steve Friend was reportedly suspended and escorted from a Florida field office after he declined to participate in an arrest operation targeting a Jan. 6 Capitol riot suspect. Friend filed a whistleblower report detailing his experience, according to the New York Post.

Other whistleblowers have reportedly alleged that the FBI is pulling agents off of child sexual abuse cases to investigate the Capitol riot and that bureau superiors told agents not to look into Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The law is only being applied one way – against the enemies of the Biden fascist regime. And we won’t get a better FBI until we elect people with integrity to hold them accountable. We need to elect leaders who love their country, love their country’s laws, and have the courage to throw the treasonous filth out.

California is interesting state because the Democrats have majority control of the House and Senate. The governor is also a Democrat. So there are no brakes on what they can do. I like to read stories about them to find out what Democrats would do if they had no opposition.

Here is a story from The Federalist:

California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a new law Thursday night to strip rights away from parents who protest their children’s blind pursuit of destructive surgeries sold to confused minors as “gender affirmation.”

Under Senate Bill 107 introduced by San Francisco-area State Sen. Scott Wiener, California will now become a “refuge” for trans-identifying minors who seek irreversible medical treatment for gender dysphoria. The legislation was supposedly aimed at blocking red states from enforcing laws barring extreme treatments for underage victims, and instead invited those minors to seek surgeries in California.

The bill eliminates parental authority over children everywhere in the country, by allowing California doctors to prescribe transgender drugs to children in other states.

Jay Richards, a policy expert at the Heritage Foundation, and Emilie Kao, a vice president and senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, broke down the components of the law in Newsweek.

“California courts will have the power to strip custody from parents, wherever they live, who doubt the wisdom of these experimental and irreversible procedures — if their child so much as steps foot in California,” the pair explained. “It would also allow California doctors to treat minors still in other states. With the advent of telehealth, a child could get a prescription for hormones from a California doctor while at home in Arkansas or in Florida.”

[…]Under California’s new law, parents might not even know whether their children are pursuing these dangerous drugs and procedures. Senate Bill 107 mandates that doctors hide children’s medical information from parents if related to “gender identity,” even if requested by subpoena.

And what’s the effect of all this permissiveness?

Here is a study that explains what happens next.

Summary:

Lowering legal barriers to make it easier for minors to undergo cross-sex medical interventions without parental consent does not reduce suicide rates—in fact, it likely leads to higher rates of suicide among young people in states that adopt these changes. States should instead adopt parental bills of rights that affirm the fact that parents have primary responsibility for their children’s education and health, and that require school officials and health professionals to receive permission from parents before administering health services, including medication and “gender-affirming” counseling, to children under 18. States should also tighten the criteria for receiving cross-sex treatments, including raising the minimum eligibility age.

And this is the interesting part:

In the past several years, the suicide rate among those ages 12 to 23 has become significantly higher in states that have a provision that allows minors to receive routine health care without parental consent than in states without such a provision. Before 2010, these two groups of states did not differ in their youth suicide rates. Starting in 2010, when puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones became widely available, elevated suicide rates in states where minors can more easily access those medical interventions became observable.

Rather than being protective against suicide, this pattern indicates that easier access by minors to cross-sex medical interventions without parental consent is associated with higher risk of suicide. The Heritage model plotted the difference in a three-year rolling average of suicide rates between states with minor access provisions and states with no such provision. Chart 2 plots the trend in this difference for those ages 12 to 23 who could have been affected by the policy when cross-sex medical interventions became available. For comparison, Chart 2 also shows the trend in this difference for a group ages 28 to 39, who could not have been affected by these policies, since the people in this group would have been at least 18 when puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones became available.

Without making any adjustments, suicide rates among those ages 12 to 23 (blue line) begin to spike in states that have provisions that allow minors to access health care without parental consent relative to states that have no such provision around 2016, after cross-sex medical interventions became more common. By 2020, there are about 3.5 more suicides per 100,000 people ages 12 to 23 in states with easier access than in states without an access provision. There is no similar spike in suicide rates among those ages 28 to 39 (grey line) at that time.

I think if I asked Gavin Newsom what he hopes to achieve with his assault on parental rights, he’d say that he wants to reduce suicide rates among children. Sadly, the scientific evidence shows that his policy achieves the exact opposite effect. This is what always happens when Democrats are in charge. They legislate in order to feel good and look good. But the result is never good.
