Biden administration: school lunch funding depends on support for transgenderism

We have a lot of problems in the country right now. A porous border. Rising inflation. Bailing out Ukraine with taxpayer dollars. A green energy policy that raises gas and electricity prices. A crisis of grooming in the schools. And the ongoing catastrophes like abortion and the welfare-funded breakdown of the nuclear family. But Joe Biden doesn’t care. He is focused on LGBT rights.

Here’s the latest by Joy Pullmann (my favorite Federalist writer) at The Federalist:

K-12 schools must allow boys into girls’ private areas to obtain federal funds for lunches, breakfasts, and snacks, the Biden administration announced this month. A U.S. Department of Education spokesman told The Federalist the Biden administration’s press releases from several agencies announcing this policy will be followed by formal rulemaking in June.

[…]Under this new demand, establishments that accept any federal food funding, including food stamps, must also allow males who claim to be female to access female private spaces, such as showers, bathrooms, and sleeping areas. Such organizations must also follow protocols such as requiring staff to use inaccurate pronouns to describe transgender people and allowing male staff to dress as women while on the job.

So, parents of religious children, and religious school workers, are good enough to pay taxes for the government programs. But they’re not good enough to receive money from government programs. That’s what you can expect from the secular left.

And Joy Pullmann has another article from The Federalist, related to this. She talks about how she can no longer send her Christian kids to the “4-H” organization:

This spring I got an email from 4-H, a club I participated in as a child, effectively communicating that my Christian family need not apply to summer camps and other activities sponsored by the quasi-public organization. (County governments often sponsor 4-H activities.) This email was signed by a 4-H staffer who put pronouns in his signature and told me, “Youth are assigned cabins based on gender indicated on the 4-H camp application and registration,” suggesting children were roomed by gender identity rather than sex.

[…]Given 4-H national’s commitment to the toxic “diversity, equity, inclusion” ideology, the fact that my Christian kids now cannot equally access lots of their programming due to 4-H’s choice to sexualize their activities was no surprise. But I still wanted to see in writing that my red county in my red state was indeed giving tax breaks and other government privileges to an organization that might room children overnight with troubled people of the opposite sex against their parents’ will. The answer is yes.

It’s not just the 4-H organization, it’s a lot of taxpayer-funded institutions:

It’s not just places kids get naked. It’s everywhere. I cannot take my children to the public library anymore, either, because the shelves are so full of pornographic and hostile books that it’s not a safe place for them. There, too, self-righteous LGBT activism has resulted in effectively banning my children from yet another public place and weaponizing my own tax dollars against my children’s safety.

The shelves and displays in our library are full of books telling my children lies such as that “men can become women” and “some boys have girl brains” and “gender is a social construct.”

So again, you have Christian families who have to pay taxes to the Biden government, and then the Biden government turns around and gives their money to anti-Christian groups. So, we’re good enough to pay taxes, but not good enough to get the benefit of those tax dollars.

  1. At the same time girls should refuse to use change rooms at school and if it they live within an hour walking distance walk home to use a safe bathroom. And they need parents to back them on their right to feel personally safe.

If a lot of girls were gone for time of the school day as they had to find a bathroom that made them feel comfortable it would make the school notice the problem.
