Legal immigrant businesswoman from Jamaica announces challenge to AOC

My favorite people in the world are non-white legal immigrants from socialist countries who embrace America, and attack socialism. The Democrat party has been taken over by America-haters who want to turn America into a third-world socialist dictatorship. But they face challenges from conservatives who came to America legally, and who are thankful for liberty, prosperity and security.

Here’s a news story from Daily Wire about a New York Republican woman who immigrated legally from Jamaica. She is challenging AOC and socialism. She has achieved far more success in business and economics than AOC.

Excerpt:

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is not going to go unchallenged in 2020, with a growing number of Republicans having announced their candidacy in recent days, including one who would meet the freshman Democrat’s qualifications for being a member of “The Squad” — except for the whole “radical socialist” part, that is.

“I’m a Jamaican immigrant. And I love America. Not the America radical socialists want to see, but the America that is a land of opportunity for all. That’s what I’m fighting for,” New York businesswoman Scherie Murray, 38, declared in a series of social media posts Wednesday announcing her candidacy for the Republican nomination in Ocasio-Cortez’s district (tweets below).

In her campaign launch, Murray has made clear that she’s not going to pull any punches on her potential opponent. “There’s a crisis in Queens and it’s called AOC,” Murray said in a tweet she’s pinned to the top of her page. “She isn’t worried about us — she’s worried about being famous. That’s why I’m running for Congress.”

“You deserve someone who will fight for you, not fight for the limelight. Someone who will build bridges, not burn them down,” said Murray in a post presenting her official 2020 announcement video. “Lawmakers should be working together to build a stronger, safer, more prosperous America, but your representative in Washington chooses self-promotion over service, conflict over constituents, resistance over assistance,” Murray says in the video.

“Queens and the Bronx need someone who will create jobs instead of turning them away,” Murray says in reference to Ocasio-Cortez’s opposition to the Amazon HQ2 deal, which would have brought 25,000 jobs to her district and nearly $30 billion in tax revenues to the state.

In an interview with Fox News Wednesday, Murray elaborated on her opposition to Ocasio-Cortez, stressing her “job-killing Green New Deal” and “killing the Amazon New York deal” as some of the reasons she believes the congresswoman needs to be unseated. She also takes aim at the Democrats’ “Mediare-for-All” as something that will ultimately destroy quality health insurance in the U.S.

Here’s her announcement video:

And one of her tweets says this:

I‘m a Jamaican immigrant. And I love America. Not the America radical socialists want to see, but the America that is a land of opportunity for all. That’s what I’m fighting for.

Six thousand retweets and 21 thousand likes for that tweet.

She loves America! And I hope that she beats AOC in the next election. The primaries will be held on June 23rd, 2020. I’m looking forward to seeing her win, and then debate AOC on business and economics. It will be a contest between an entrepreneur with an actual resume against a bartender / waitress who was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and failed to achieve anything in the free market.

By the way, did you see this video showing how the new fresh faces of the Democrat party refused to condemn a terrorist attack committed by a far-left Democrat party terrorist?

I blogged previously about how the terrorist had cited AOC’s “concentration camp” rhetoric in his manifesto. It really makes me concerned that people who don’t think that terrorism is wrong have taken over the Democrat party. Who voted for these people?

  1. My guess is she’s from an upper class Jamaican family. A colleague’s wife is from an upper class Jamaican family. She’s intelligent, feminine and right-wing/pro-American.
But I’m afraid there aren’t enough of these types.

      1. Come to think of it, my dad’s boss was a middle class Jamaican man. Very conservative and a serious Christian. It’s funny – he used to explicitly criticize the American black underclass. It reminds me of the skit on the old “In Living Color” television show, the one about the hard working Jamaican family who criticize others for being lazy.

        1. Yes. And it’s not related to skin color, it’s related to culture. Thomas Sowell talks about the differences between West Indian blacks and blacks who adopted the white British “redneck” culture that came over from the UK white immigrants in his books. West Indian blacks are generally more successful in the United States than the average American.

  2. I really like what I am hearing from and about this lady. I wish her great success. However, WK, from what I have read about AOC’s district, the likelihood of a Republican unseating her is slim to none.

I think AOC needs to be booted, since rather than doing the job she was elected for, she simply preens for the cameras, bashes Trump, and does anything else that will increase media attention for herself. She can’t even manage to stay in good with her party’s leadership. The best chance of seeing her ousted is going to be in a Democratic primary.

Scherie Murray sounds exactly the kind of candidate the GOP needs more of, so I hope she sticks around regardless of how this election cycle turns out.

  4. Yes I too saw her on news. Am encourage that Ms Murray is running against AOC! From her comments, demeanor and “work history” I am hearten to support her in anyway I can. Contrast her worldview vs AOC or the three other ” squad of ungrateful = SOuG ” She migrated from Jamaica so that most of SOuG . Yet, why is her view different ? Notice SOuG and Ms Murray both love US benefits namely political, financial, economic and host of other BENEFITS. Yet SOG condemn America calling American as oppressor essentially resorting to Identity politics, Racial profiling …we people of color vs White privilege have been oppressing nonwhites without any concrete substantive views or ideas that will move us Americans towards a better future. Meanwhile, Ms Murray view lay out at least some sort of idea as which direction she wants to move and why.
Most people forget that we are now COMPETING worldwide. In other words, we are competing against China, Singapore, Japan, and lists goes on in regards to technology, economics and most important Brain Power or Brain Drain.
Take a look at Singapore: An island 50 years ago undeveloped Third World. Singapore rive was literally floating with human feces. Today, she is Financial Hub in Southeast Asia. All these were accomplished not by Racial profiling, Identity politics, or relieving past mistakes. Rather, with right people focusing in desiring that ” when the water rise, every boat will rise too.”
At the end of the day Americans need to be INFORM and they will make the right decisions in regards to who these political candidates should represent them. But key here is we need to put all these into ACTION…such as getting involve in someway, the more ways we are involve the better.

( side note: Saikat Chakrabarti is the brain behind AOC. Without him AOC would not have been where she is now.)

    1. Ok love this comment so much, the global competitivenesss that should unite us, and the citation of Singapore as an example. The free market ought to excite us and command our allegiance. It lifts people out of poverty and gives them work to do, and independence from big government. AOC and her ilk don’t understand America at all.

      1. Yes. Friendly competition is always Healthy. It is an incentive for everyone to Improve, to bring one’s standard upwards and onwards….thus Meritocracy !! Instead we have the SOuG and its like ….”sharing wealth” resulting in Mediocre standards of government, work standards.
Unfortunately, the SOuG like Obama desire to Fundamentally change America into their worldview. A worldview where Meritocracy under Global competition ( friendly ), Free Market ( not Corporate Capitalism such as Facebook) will bring the world closer and happier.

And how much it cost and the time involved to do it correctly by not jumping the line be as an illegal
