MUST-SEE: Shocking video example of left-wing media bias on MSNBC

PLEASE take 8 minutes to watch this video of Lawrence O’Donnell bullying Peter Schiff. (H/T Hot Air)

Newsbusters has the transcript of the interview.

Peter Schiff predicted the housing bust in 2006 and 2007. He is running for Senate in Connecticut in 2010.

UPDATE: The Maritime Sentry had this audio compilation from Peter Schiff.

  1. Here’s what I don’t get: assuming Schiff is an intelligent guy, why in the name of God would you submit to an interview with Lawrence O’Donnell, one of the least-reasonable (and that’s saying something), super-lib, talking heads? Clearly, Schiff has questionable judgment for being willing to engage with someone that there was, quite literally, no chance from whom he’d get a fair shake. (And sure, when he was booked he might have expected Ed Schultz to be hosting, but that’s nearly as bad as O’Donnell, so I still question the dude’s rationale for going on this show at all–is he that desperate for exposure??)

  2. I don’t know ECM… So much of winning elections is getting those swing votes. People who are undecided on the middle won’t think Schiff was “beaten” there, they will think he was treated unfairly, and that’s likely to make them sympathetic to him.

    1. Swing voters watching MSNBC??

I could buy your argument if he was getting beat up by someone on CNN (and maybe even Fox, depending on the host) but MSNBC takes a spectacular suspension of disbelief that any swing/independent voter is ever going to see it and, even if they did, they’d likely take the host’s side since they have no idea who Schiff is. (But I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of a swing voter (read: not someone in the 30% most liberal voting bloc in the country) watching MSNBC…that sounds like the stuff that fantasy novels are spun from.)

      1. Touche!

The only plausible reason I can come up with, is that the vast majority of people think that “liberal media bias” is something that right wing kooks cry out, and that no reasonable person can come to the conclusion that our professional journalists are anything but down the middle every single time.

But certainly, no moderate who is paying attention could watch MSNBC.
