Obama’s attorney general has his head in the sand on national security

Wow, this is just crazy.

Remember this one:

And this one:

Why is this guy attorney general?

UPDATE: Actually Investors Business Daily recounts his many failures in this editorial.

Excerpt:

An appearance before the House Judiciary Committee last week illustrates the problem. Holder told the panel that Justice Department decisions “are done in a political way.” Thanks for the honesty, but that’s not what the job requires.

This may explain why Holder could question whether Arizona’s new law on illegal immigrants is “unconstitutional” and imply that those who drafted the bill were racist, and, in the next breath, admit that he hadn’t even read the 17-page bill.

If he took the time to read it, he’d discover that Arizona’s measure basically takes existing U.S. federal law and makes it state law too. Is the federal law unconstitutional as well?

And an MP3 version is here.

Video: Muslim Student Association member calls for second holocaust

I am astonished and appalled by this video. (H/T Gateway Pundit, Hot Air via ECM)

The Weekly Standard sets it up:

Last night NewsReal Blog’s Editor-in-Chief David Horowitz gave a talk at UC San Diego to counter the Muslim Students Association’s Israeli Apartheid Week. (Horowitz made a point to properly describe the event as “Hitler Youth” week.) …

During the Question and Answer period Horowitz had a chilling exchange with a member of the MSA in which he prodded her to reveal the depraved depths of her Jew-hatred. What’s shocking is not so much that she holds such views, but rather that she was willing to admit it…

Partial transcript:

MSA member: If I support Hamas, because your question forces me to condemn Hamas.  If I support Hamas, I look really bad.

Horowitz: If you don’t condemn Hamas, obviously you support it.  Case closed.  I have had this experience at UC Santa Barbara, where there were 50 members of the Muslim Students Association sitting right in the rows there.  And throughout my hour talk I kept asking them, will you condemn Hizbollah and Hamas. And none of them would.  And then when the question period came, the president of the Muslim Students Association was the first person to ask a question. And I said, ‘Before you start, will you condemn Hizbollah?’ And he said, ‘Well, that question is too complicated for a yes or no answer.’  So I said, ‘Okay, I’ll put it to you this way.  I am a Jew.  The head of Hizbollah has said that he hopes that we will gather in Israel so he doesn’t have to hunt us down globally.  For or Against it?

MSA member: For it.

I condemn Hizbollah and I condemn hatred of Jews. I hope you do too.

Obama administration removed terrorist from surveillance list before attack

Story here from CBS News.

Excerpt:

Sources tell CBS News that would-be Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad appeared on a Department of Homeland Security travel lookout list – Traveler Enforcement Compliance System (TECS) – between 1999 and 2008 because he brought approximately $80,000 cash or cash instruments into the United States.

He was removed from the list sometime after Obama took office.

But don’t worry, because the money we saved by not monitoring terrorists was well spent prosecuting Navy SEALs.

Excerpt:

A Virginia military jury found a Navy SEAL not guilty Thursday on all charges he punched an Iraqi suspected in the 2004 killings of four U.S. contractors in Fallujah.

[…]McCabe was the third and final Navy SEAL to be prosecuted in the case. He had faced charges of assault, making a false official statement and dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee. McCabe was accused of punching last year is Ahmed Hashim Abed, the suspected mastermind of the grisly killings six years ago.

So, according to Democrats, terrorists are good, US armed forces are bad. (And tea party protestors are terrorist threats, too!)

How Modern Liberals Think

If you want to understand why people on the left call evil good and call good evil, be sure and watch Evan Sayet’s speech at the Heritage Foundation, entitled “How Modern Liberals Think”.

Here’s the lecture:

Democrats aren’t not serious about evil, and that disqualifies them from any office involving national security. In my opinion, they are not qualified to do anything of any importance.
