Excerpt:

The congressional leader of a key House committee governing the use of technology announced on Thursday that Congress is taking unprecedented action to hold in contempt a computer company that supplied former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with her private email server, which was since found to contain classified information in violation of federal protocol.

Rep. Lamar Smith (R., Texas), chair of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, informed reporters that he is moving forward with procedures to hold in contempt Platte River Networks, a security firm that helped maintain Clinton’s private servers.

Smith announced that he is in possession of emails that show Clinton’s lawyer instructed companies involved with the server to thwart an official investigation by Congress.

Platte River has “obstructed” investigations by Congress and failed to produce critical documents about the server’s security vulnerabilities, according to Smith, who accused the firm of stonewalling Congress for months.

[…]“After many weeks, months, we realized we were being stonewalled, we were not being given information,” Smith told reporters on Capitol Hill. Platte River “continues to obstruct” the congressional probe into the “possible misuse” of Clinton’s server, he said.

“We do not take issuing a subpoena lightly, nor do we take holding someone in contempt lightly,” Smith said. “Platte River continues to refuse to comply at the direction of Secretary Clinton. Regrettably, former Secretary Clinton has interfered with the committee’s investigation.”

Now might be a good time to review some of Hillary Clinton’s big lies.

The Washington Times has a good list:

Many of us remember the classic line from the “Seinfeld” show, that “it’s not a lie if you believe it.” Applying that theme to the evolution of Hillary Rodham, then Hillary Rodham Clinton, and now just plain Hillary Clinton, here are the notable accomplishments of her “public service” career:

• Flunked the D.C. Bar Exam.

• Was removed from her House Judiciary Committee staffer job because of incompetence and lying.

• The Whitewater scandal.

• Married a serial liar and cheater, who occasionally had sexual encounters with nonconsenting partners.

• Lied about “sniper fire” in an attempt to simulate exposure to danger in a war zone.

• The subject of a “vast right-wing conspiracy” that led to the impeachment and disbarment of her husband

• Took crockery, furniture, artwork and other items from the White House — had to return and/or pay for them.

• Said “what difference, at this point, does it make” about four brave people killed in Libya as a direct result of her failure to protect them on the anniversary of 9/11.

• Totally ignored the structure and rules for the handling of sensitive national security information.

• Amassed a personal fortune with “speaking fees” and payments from private sector political donors and foreign governments into transparent “foundations” in obvious exchange for future political favor.

The one in bold is my favorite.

Investors Business Daily has more details:

Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson reminds us the secretary of state who blamed Benghazi on a video once made up a story about courage under fire in Bosnia.

[…]Former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson reminded the world of Hillary’s tale of heroism in an interview with CBS Philadelphia affiliate WPHT morning host Chris Stigall last November, a tale told by the former first lady in her 2008 run against one Barack Obama.

“I had come home from an overseas trip vacation, and my husband says, ‘When you went to Bosnia 12 years ago with the first lady, were you shot at?,’ and I’m like, ‘No, I think I would know if I were shot at,’” Attkisson told Stigall of the 1996 trip to Bosnia with Hillary, first daughter Chelsea and celebrities Sinbad and Sheryl Crow.

Candidate Clinton claimed in a 2008 speech in Washington and several subsequent interviews that she and Chelsea were forced to run for cover under hostile fire shortly after landing in Tuzla, Bosnia.

“I remember landing under sniper fire,” Clinton said. “There was supposed to be some kind of greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

Her harrowing tale never happened, and Mrs. Clinton’s faulty memory also forgot that there was a reporter on the trip who was taking notes and had a video of the event.

“The video showed,” Attkisson said, “and I thought this was a pretty good way to explain it — I put her in a box saying, ‘We got off the plane and had to duck and run for cover and there was sniper fire’ and then I show the video of what was really happening, and she’s getting off the plane and she’s waving, shaking hands with a little school girl.”

Here’s the video:

It shows that her essential character is like Walter Mitty – always imagining herself to be more heroic than she is. Thing is, Walter Mitty just day dreamed. Hillary tries to actually lie about it in public. Most of us outgrow this tendency to exaggerate in order to appear more important in our teens. Hillary never did.

The smoking gun: State Department pressured FBI to unclassify Clinton e-mails

The far left Washington Post reports:

FBI official Brian McCauley had been trying for weeks to get his contact at the State Department to approve his request to put two bureau employees back in Baghdad.

Around May 2015, Patrick Kennedy finally called back.

“He said: ‘Brian. Pat Kennedy. I need a favor,’ ” McCauley recalled in an interview Tuesday. “I said: ‘Good, I need a favor. I need our people back in Baghdad.’ ”

Then Kennedy, a longtime State Department official, explained what he wanted: “There’s an email. I don’t believe it has to be classified.”

The email was from Hillary Clinton’s private server, and Kennedy wanted the FBI to change its determination that it contained classified information.

[…]The purported “quid pro quo” between McCauley and Kennedy was first reported over the weekend by Fox News and the Weekly Standard and confirmed Monday when the FBI released dozens of interview summaries from its criminal investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

The interview summaries showed that Kennedy lobbied multiple bureau officials to change their minds about classifying one email on Clinton’s server. At the time, the State Department was reviewing Clinton’s emails for release under the Freedom of Information Act and had sent several to the FBI for review.

Fox News and the Weekly Standard first reported on the story because they are not in the tank for Hillary Clinton.

Fox News notes that the FBI dragged their feet on releasing the e-mails showing the quid pro quo proposal:

“Left to their own devices the FBI would never have provided these [records] to Congress and waited until the last minute. This is the third batch because [the FBI] didn’t think they were relevant,” Chaffetz said.

And the Weekly Standard had all the details:

The FBI official spoke with Kennedy and Kennedy raised the possibility of keeping at least one Clinton email from public disclosure by obtaining a “B9” exemption under the Freedom of Information Act, a rarely used exemption that refers to “geological and geophysical information and data.” One email in particular concerned Kennedy and, according to the FBI summary, providing a B9 exemption “would allow him to archive the document in the basement of the department of state never to be seen again.” The FBI official told Kennedy that he would look into the email if Kennedy would authorize a pending request for additional FBI personnel in Iraq.

A summary of an interview with the section chief of the FBI records management division provides further evidence of Kennedy’s attempts to have the classification of some sensitive emails changed. The FBI records official, whose job includes making determinations on classification, told investigators that he was approached by his colleague in international operations after the initial discussion with Kennedy. The FBI records official says that his colleague “pressured” him to declassify an email “in exchange for a quid pro quo,” according to the interview summary. “In exchange for making the email unclassified State would reciprocate by allowing the FBI to place more agents in countries where they are presently forbidden.” The request was denied.

The Weekly Standard outlines a few more cases where Kennedy pressured the FBI to mark e-mails as not classified.

More:

Kennedy has been a central figure in the Benghazi and email controversies. He was involved in the controversial decisions not to bolster security at the Benghazi diplomatic outpost despite repeated requests for addition security. And although Kennedy is responsible for ensuring State Department compliance with federal records requirements, he communicated regularly with Clinton using her private email. In a sworn deposition in connection with Freedom of Information Act litigation brought by Judicial Watch, Kennedy testified that he exchanged dozens of emails with Clinton and never thought to ask how the private emails would be archived in a manner consistent with federal law. “It’s not something that I ever focused on,” Kennedy testified.

He never thought to ask. It was not something that he ever focused on.

Of course, this is the same FBI that declined to prosecute Clinton for actions that would have been prosecuted if anyone else had committed them – and others have indeed been prosecuted.

Clinton VP Tim Kaine co-sponsored bill to overturn every pro-life law, nationwide

Hillary Clinton and Planned Parenthood

I have nothing positive to say about Donald Trump, although I very much like his VP pick Mike Pence. But I don’t like Hillary Clinton, or her VP pick Tim Kaine.

Life News reports on Kaine’s pro-abortion record:

Hillary Clinton’s pro-abortion running mate Tim Kaine will be a participant in tonight’s vice presidential debate. One question moderators should consider asking him that’s why he is co-sponsoring a radical bill that would overturn every single pro-life law Nationwide.

Planned Parenthood and other abortion advocates are promoting the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act. It’s radical pro-abortion legislation that they are hoping to be able to get through Congress despite pro-life Republicans controlling both chambers currently.

LifeNews spoke with Douglas Johnson, the legislative director for the National Right to Life Committee about the legislation. He says it’s one of the most extreme pro-abortion pieces of legislation ever introduced in Congress. It’s so extreme that the typical pro-abortion members of the house and the Senate have co-sponsored the bill but so has Tim Kaine who claims to be a Catholic with a moderate position on abortion.

“This is the most extreme pro-abortion bill ever introduced in Congress.  It would invalidate nearly all state laws that apply to abortion, including waiting periods and laws to protect the conscience rights of pro-life health care providers, and would require funding of abortion in most government health programs,” Johnson explained. “It would also render meaningless nearly all limits on late abortions.  It would more accurately be titled the “Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act.”

“Yet, 35 senators and 143 House members, all Democrats, have co-sponsored this radical bill — including vice-presidential nominee Tim Kaine,” Johnson added.

Kaine has said he thinks women should be able to abort their babies and has added that he is going to “get comfortable with” Hillary Clinton’s push for free abortions paid for by American taxpayers.

We have enough trouble getting Christians to be pro-life without having high-profile pro-abortion people claiming to be Christian.

My position on this election is that people can vote for Trump-Pence if they want, as long as they admit Trump’s problems and don’t lie for him. But I am recommending that no one vote for Clinton-Kaine. These two do have a record of political action, and it is very much against the causes that I believe in, as a Christian and a conservative.
