Wisconsin Democrat makes death threat against Republican Assemblywoman

From Newsbusters: Wisconsin Dem Assemblyman Tells GOP Assemblywoman ‘You Are F–king Dead’.

Excerpt:

Despite the following report from the Northwestern at 12:53 PM Monday, no major media outlet other than Fox News has covered this disgusting story:

Rep. Gordon Hintz, D-Oshkosh, called Rep. Michelle Litjens, R-Winneconne, Monday morning to apologize for his comments that Litjens described as containing an obscenity and the words “you’re dead.” Last week, he accepted responsibility for being issued an ordinance violation for visiting a massage parlor in Appleton that was the subject of a prostitution sting.

In this post-Gabrielle Giffords world, with calls for a new civility, a man that was just busted in the middle of a prostitution sting says “You are f–king dead” to a woman on the floor of the Wisconsin assembly, and America’s media couldn’t care less.

Despite this being reported no later than 10:43 AM, a Google news search identified that apart from Wisconsin outlets, only Fox and conservative websites thought this was at all newsworthy.

As of 12:30 AM Tuesday, according to LexisNexis, no major news outlets reported this event. Closed-caption records for ABC’s “World News,” CBS’s “Evening News,” and NBC’s “Night News” also found no coverage of this issue.

More union thuggery that you’ll probably never hear about in the mainstream media:

Human Events lists the top 10 examples of liberal hate

Here’s the list. (H/T Robert Stacy McCain)

Here’s McCain’s pick for the worst one:

(7) Exterminate Republicans: This is what passes for a theater review in the Village Voice: Michale Feingold, while reviewing the play “King Cowboy Rufus Rules the Universe,” wrote: “Republicans don’t believe in the imagination, partly because so few of them have one, but mostly because it gets in the way of their chosen work, which is to destroy the human race and the planet. Human beings, who have imaginations, can see a recipe for disaster in the making; Republicans, whose goal in life is to profit from disaster and who don’t give a hoot about human beings, either can’t or won’t. Which is why I personally think they should be exterminated before they cause any more harm.”

And here’s my pick:

(1) Palin Derangement Syndrome: The Left’s obsessive hatred of Sarah Palin is well-chronicled and is often accompanied by violent rhetoric. Let these three examples suffice: (1) Keith Halloran, a New Hampshire Democratic candidate, said on a Facebook thread that he wished Palin had been aboard the Alaska plane that crashed, killing five including Sen. Ted Stevens; (2) Another New Hampshire Democrat, Timothy Horrigan resigned from the state legislature after writing this gem on Facebook: “Well a dead Palin wd be even more dangerous than a live one . . .  she is all about her myth & if she was dead she cldn’t commit any more gaffes”; and (3) foul-mouthed comedian Sandra Bernhard warned Palin she would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” if she tried coming to New York.

Now go read the whole list! Some of them I already blogged about.

I actually do know liberal people at work who even know about my blog and who haven’t threatened me. But I have received threats. Not complaining, just pointing out that people do threaten me because of things that I say that they do not like. It makes it much harder to be friends with them.

Ex-Congressman who wanted Republican governor shot now pleads for civility

Here’s the story from the Washington Examiner. (H/T Commenter from Robert Stacy McCain)

Here’s ex-Representative Paul Kanjorski (Democrat – Pennsylvania) writing in the New York Times on Tuesday.

Excerpt:

We all lose an element of freedom when security considerations distance public officials from the people. Therefore, it is incumbent on all Americans to create an atmosphere of civility and respect in which political discourse can flow freely, without fear of violent confrontation.

And here he is in the Scranton Times on October 23, 2010, writing about new Republican Governor Rick Scott from Florida.

Excerpt:

“That Scott down there that’s running for governor of Florida,” Mr. Kanjorski said. “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he’s running for governor of Florida. He’s a millionaire and a billionaire. He’s no hero. He’s a damn crook. It’s just we don’t prosecute big crooks.”

There’s a word for what he just did… it starts with an H.
