An actual hate crime just happened, but the national news media is silent about it

Here's a bunch of violent fascist thugs
Fascist socialist Democrat thugs prefer violence to civil debate

An actual hate crime just occurred, but you won’t have heard about it. The victim of this hate crime is a straight white male Republican. The gunman is an angry hate-filled Democrat. This crime won’t be reported as national news, because the people on the secular left – journalists, celebrities, socialists – agree with the gunman. So it’s like the crime never happened.

Here’s the story from ABC local news in Kentucky:

A Tennessee man is in jail after being accused of pulling a gun on a Sam’s Club customer Saturday.

According to the police report, officers were called to Sam’s Club due to a person with a gun.

According to the alleged victim Terry Pierce, a man pulled a gun on him because he was wearing a Make America Great Again (MAGA) hat.

“I have as much right to wear that hat and support my country and my president as he has not to,” said Pierce.

The police report confirms that the suspect, identified as James Phillips, admitted to flipping off Pierce and Pierce’s wife because of their hats.

Pierce tells 13 News that he was shopping with his wife when Phillips “Pulled a .40 caliber out and stuck it in my face, backed up and said, ‘It’s a good day for you to die.'”

Pierce went on to tell 13 News, “I said, ‘Then pull the trigger. Put the gun down and fight me or pull the trigger. Whichever one you want.’ And he backed up and he said it again, he said, ‘It’s a good day for you to die.'”

Pierce said the Phillips then took off. That’s when Pierce followed him out into the parking lot.

“I went out the front of the store to confront him again and that’s when I got him in his car. He couldn’t leave because his mother was still in the store. And we were having a verbal altercation outside,” said Pierce.

Pierce added, “He tried telling me I assaulted him and I said, ‘I never touched you.'”

According to the police report, surveillance video confirms Pierce’s story that he did not put his hands on Phillips.

Now, I know what journalists on the secular left will say to this story. It’s the same thing they said about the Covington kids. It’s hate speech to smile at someone while wearing a Trump-supporter hat, so of course a violent response is justified. This is how journalists on the secular left think.

In a recent post, Newsbusters contrasted the coverage of fake hate crimes that fit their narrative with coverage of real hate crimes that don’t.

As NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck documented early Sunday morning, between January 29 and February 14, the networks spent 101 minutes and 22 seconds helping to push Smollett’s claims of being assaulted by racist and homophobic Trump supporters.

[…]In sharp contrast, when a young white man was kidnapped for two days in the run-up to then President-elect Trump’s inauguration and tortured live on Facebook by black teens, the story was there and gone in just four days. As Houck also exposed on January 4, 2017, both ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News skipped the story while CBS Evening News allocated a mere 27 seconds.

I’m troubled by this story of a Democrat pulling a gun on people who are just out shopping. We have elections so that the majority can decide who will be in charge. If you lose the election, then wait for the next one, and persuade people with reason and evidence to vote for your candidate. Now you can’t even go shopping without some Democrat fascist thug pointing a gun at you and threatening to shoot you.

  1. I’ve been thinking a bit lately about what it means to wear any kind of clothing with logos or slogans on it and exactly what people who wear them hope to achieve. I kind of believe that if you wear such a thing you are making a public statement and shouldn’t be surprised if, in public, someone challenges it, whether its “Go, Patriots!” or “I Love L.A.”. Its the equivalent of standing on a soap box, albeit your not, its still a silent proclamation. Assault, however, is another story, and that’s were the left has a problem. Its like many of their minds cannot comprehend the concept of intelligent and calm speech or conversation. Like children they go from zero to one-hundred in the blink of an eye, and for just as obvious a reason, i.e.: Who knows?

People who do this need to be punished to the full extent of the law. The guy knows he was carrying, the guy willfully and intentionally pulled his firearm out TO SCARE SOMEONE WHO WAS NOT A THREAT, which should never, ever be done. He put everyone in that store in danger that day and deserves much jail time.

  2. This is asinine! If this happens to someone wearing an Obama hat, it’s a hate crime and all over the news. But in this case, it’s hardly even mentioned. Even the word objectivity is subjective to the mainstream.

  3. As someone from KY and that knows the area where this happened, we can’t be certain of the registered party affiliation of either party. I’ve seen no mention of the party affiliations in the coverage and I don’t have access anymore to the DB’s where I could easily look it up. The county it happened in, despite be the home of Rand Paul, leans Dem and registered Dems in this state regularly vote GOP, particularly in state-wide/national elections. And I’ve witnessed some rather obnoxious behavior, though never someone pulling a gun, by members of the GOP that were Never Trumpers against fellow Republicans. Regardless, the overall point holds that the media won’t cover or minimizes bad behavior directed at the President’s supporters.

  4. Tennessee has licensed conceal carry. I have a CCL in Kansas. In Kansas, you are charged if you draw your weapon and/or use your weapon when engaging in mortal combat (such as a verbal argument). I’m no arm chair attorney, but the MAGA hat wearer should have not given the perpetrator the middle finger. Standing down or asking for the management to intervene. These SJWs and other leftists are walking time bombs waiting to be triggered. I wonder if the perpetrator will be charged? Getting crazy out there, and I only think crazier. Johnny law is not your friend, and this is what concerns me.

    1. You’re smart to live in Kansas. Ultimately, whether you get charged for self-defense is going to depend on whether you tried to avoid the threat or not (you should avoid the threat) and whether your life was literally at stake. The best thing to do is to act in a way that never results in an altercation. Definitely, don’t give the finger back to leftists.

      1. Right you are. I fled the Peoples Republic of Minnesota, and Moscow on the river Minneapolis, to live in Kansas. After 31 years, I don’t regret it! Lower taxes (lower wages, but evens out), lower cost of living, red state (except for the blue cancerous spots of KC, KS and leftist Lawrence, KS–University of Kansas), nicer climate, mostly nicer culture, reasonable gun laws, low unemployment, business friendly.

  5. To add to this how crazy things are. I was standing in the line at a grocery store waiting to be checked recently. I bought a can of sardines with my grocery items. I put the sardines in my golden lab’s dog food as a treat. He’s a great dog. A young couple were standing behind me, and they looked like your garden variety meth-heads (Kansas City is a meth capital). The young man made some wise crack about my buying sardines (what, was he the grocery police). I ignored his wise crack, and proceeded to pay for my groceries. The young man then called me out for a fight. I’m 61, work two jobs to barely survive, I’m exhausted, and I don’t need to die, get a trip to the hospital, or receive criminal charges, especially from a broken most likely morally bankrupt drug addled young kid. Fortunately, I was able to slide him, get to my truck, and get home. Our society is unhinged!

    1. Learned something new today. Apparently the gun-grabbing Lefties only want to take guns away from CONSERVATIVES, not their own. If a Republican had drawn on an Obama supporter, the drive-by media would have been shrieking “Gun control!” to the rafters for days on end.

      Instead, deafening silence.

Apparently, the Left is OK with gun ownership, as long as they’re used by fellow-lefties to intimidate/harass/threaten (kill?) conservatives.

      Sad, isn’t it.

  6. I’m surprised they didn’t spin the story into a need for more gun control; it’s the only way this story would have been useful to them.

  7. Two points:

    1. This isn’t news…it’s routine. Antifa alone is an army of hate crime perpetrators, based on the leftist’s own definition of hate crime. Those who assault…to whatever extent…Trump administration people in restaurants have committed a hate crime. The examples of leftist behavior that could fall under this label are many.

    2. There is a fine line, I suppose, between when and how one should confront these types of people, or “return fire”, so to speak. I have to admit I take no small measure of joy at seeing pics, videos or stories of some thug…of any stripe…finding out the hard way that he got in the wrong person’s face. The first thought that leaps to mind is that the thug is unlikely to do that to anyone else again. The Covington kid probably had the most acceptable response, and yet he and his classmates took incredible heat for it, as if they were the ones in the wrong. But to back down only encourages these punks, and others will suffer as a result.

  8. The Democrats have for all practical purposes declared themselves the Anti White Party (AWP). The only future the Republican Party has is as the White Party. Otherwise it will be totally irrelevant after 2020. Maybe before then. The Conservative movement in the United States has “conserved” absolutely nothing. It is already dead. The GOP will soon follow.

    1. I agree. I for one am weary of the do nothing conservatives such as Marco Rubio, to name one. I’ve voted GOP since 1976, when I was first legally able to do so. Why, simply I wanted to worship freely, I wanted to keep my guns, and I wanted to keep what little money I earned. I also wanted to see business, especially manufacturing, remain on our shores (look what they’ve dine with that one). Conservatives have far too often shown a yellow stripe, IMO. I don’t know the answer. Perhaps a revival of conservatives who will in fact conserve these things we value?
