This video is particularly useful for people in other countries who want to know why America was so prosperous for so long. (H/T Hot Air)

We believed in freedom. The average citizen was an informed patriot who understood government, law and economics. Now, thanks to the public schools, we’ve lost that.

But at least some of us still remember.

The United States Marine Corps is the official favorite armed services branch of the Wintery Knight blog. Did you know that each branch of the armed services has an official reading list? I am about a quarter through the official USMC reading list.

    There are some AWESOME books on that list though.

    I’ve been hearing great things about a new book “The End of Secularism.”

    Anyone had a chance to read it yet?
