We discuss whether high tax rates and government ownership of businesses has been good for Christians in Canada. We then turn to the free market system, and discuss whether it is any better for Christians. Finally, we answer objections to the free market system. This is the third episode of a three-part series.
Speaker biographies
Wintery Knight is a black legal immigrant. He is a senior software engineer by day, and an amateur Christian apologist by night. He has been blogging at winteryknight.com since January of 2009, covering news, policy and Christian worldview issues.
Desert Rose did her undergraduate degree in public policy, and then worked for a conservative Washington lobbyist organization. She also has a graduate degree from a prestigious evangelical seminary. She is active in Christian apologetics as a speaker, author, and teacher.

Hello,
Just a comment about the Canada Sales Tax: GST (the federal component) is actually 5%, and on top of that is the provincial portion, which in Saskatchewan e.g. is 6%, but could be different in other provinces. And some provinces such as Ontario have a combined tax (Harmonized sales tax – HST) of 13%, which hides an 8% provincial portion.
